Good morning ~
Just a quick hello. We’re heading out early for my daughters graduation ceremony. I have lots to do before we leave. I can’t believe my baby is graduating from college. Another milestone for my family. I will check back in here later today. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx
Congrats to your daughter...so exciting!

It’s been a long couple of days here. My neighbor came home from rehab on Saturday and he really should have never been released. His kids act like it’s a big shock but even I knew he would need 24/7 care once he got home from when I went to visit him there. It’s not like the doctors were trying to hide it. His daughters just wanted to ignore it and thought he’d be fine. So now it’s just a big mess and I’ve been over there a lot trying to help out when they can’t be. They say they have worked out a plan but I’ve heard like 5 different versions of it today alone. So who knows what is going to end up happening. I just know it can’t keep going like it is.

What a sad situation - especially since the family doesn't seem like they are all on board or maybe don't want to cope with and come to realization with what is happening. It sounds like for sure, he needs 24 hour care, whether it be at home or a facility. He and his family are incredibly blessed and you are a God send to be able to be there. God Bless you.

Good Morning, Everybody!
So very, very close now to our premier Milestone marker of 2019.

Let's inspect the exciting details:
Days to the Season: 301
Days to Christmas Day: 343

Wow!
The 300-day Season Window. It will be here TOMORROW!
Then, the very next day, our Season count will begin with a 2.
(And that just seems "2" soon, Folks!)

Bit by bit. Day by day. We get just a little warmer for the high.
Today will see that gradual trend continue and we are predicted to reach the mid 50's, then 60 by Friday before we cool off again.
This center day of the week has commenced here at a chilly but sunny 30 degrees.

Is it 'Pines Day again, already?
Yep. And already the third one of the new year.
(That hardly seems possible, too!)
Anyway, Carl is ready as always at the front door. And owing to the chilly temperatures, he is offering a choice of iced or hot tea. (I just might take the latter this time!)
Hope to see you all there.

Meanwhile, you try your level best to have a Wonderful Wednesday, OK?
I'll bring candy canes for stirring/sweetening the hot tea!

This reminds me of a brief dream I had last night! I was driving in the town I grew up in, and saw a white car with a red "MMC" on the doors, and a sign on the front grille that said "Happy 'Pines Day!" in green. I wanted to stop and talk with whoever was driving it, but wasn't able to. Crazy, eh?

Congrats to your youngest. May happiness and success be her constant companions.

How awful! What a nightmare!!! Praying for the family & your community!
I found out yesterday my co-workers 15 month old cousins baby passed away suddenly. He just stopped breathing while taking a nap at the babysitters. How awful for the babysitter! They were doing an autopsy yesterday. So sad!
Hope your hand feels better soon!
Oh my, that's so terrible! I can't imagine how the family or the sitter feels. Sending a prayer for them.

"Submitted for your approval ... people who celebrate Christmas every day of the year ... in ... the Twilight Zone!"

It wasn't creepy ... I was really excited to see the car! But I couldn't figure out how to get in touch with whoever was driving it to find out what was going on.

That's got to be tough. He's lucky to have you for a neighbor.

Congratulations to her! My baby will graduate high school in a few months, and I just wish she was still 8. Life goes on, eh?

Good Wednesday morning, Christmas friends!

I'm working today until noon, then taking off for my ortho appointment. I'm so ready to get my hand fixed!

Lulu and I ran to the vet clinic yesterday afternoon to get her prescription food, then I got my CRAZY-LONG hair cut. I was starting to look like a hippie, and it seemed to happen overnight LOL.

Nancy, Elizabeth and I are taking Jacob out to dinner tonight.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good morning all!

Well, a surprise ice day for the family today. Overnight some freezing drizzle developed and the temperatures have been slow to rise. The result was a two-hour delay and then a closing for my school and my wife's school! :D
-santa dance-

The snowy, cold, and icy pattern seems to continue.
Tomorrow will be interesting as some snow and ice is suppose to develop in the morning and continue through the day. Not sure how schools will deal with it because it may not start until the buses are out. However, it could get nasty before school releases.
Friday will be calm, BUT Saturday we are expected to get another substantial snow. Could be another 6-10 inches! Then turn really cold. Now that itself does not affect school. But the pattern of cold and snow continues into next week. Though it will change some, the current forecast for next Tuesday night is 1-3 inches of snow. Then 3-5 inches on Wednesday and another 3-5 inches Wednesday night! I love it and hope it all comes true! It is been so long since we have had a really snowy winter.

:snowball

I hope everyone enjoys their day!

Happy Wednesday all!

In the office today (about 3-4 hr commute from the house) lots of reports to generate and pour over, between that and the Christmas music I have playing in my earbud the day should fly by. Hope everyone is having a good hump day!

You have had many milestones lately! Again, congrats, and enjoy every moment!

Oh how awful, prayers for the family. I can't even imagine what they are going through and the babysitter.

Congrats on your new car! I will have to look for that station on Amazon!

They are lucky to have you, Made. I hope they straighten this out soon.

Thank you! I think whenever I told Alexa to play it, I just said to play, "Covers playlist". It is instrumental, but it was something I really enjoyed, especially when sitting reading or evening now, when I'm sitting here with you guys, drinking coffee and just catching up on things.

It's incredible how fast time passes. My daughter reminded me the other day - our school district signs them up for Kindergarten for 5 yo, birthdays until the end of September, so she was just turning 5 when school started. DH and I debated on holding her back in Pre-K and started her that next year, because her brother, who is 22 months younger than her, is pretty much the same size and most of the kids are bigger than her in her class, etc. Her teachers kept reassuring me that she would be bored and that she is too intelligent to do that to. I am so glad we didn't - they were right, but she just reminded me the other day, when she starts college, she will only be 17. I had to stop a second and think about it and realized she was right. I had small panic attack and also realized that is only 9 short years away! Ugh...

Hope the appointment goes well - let us know how you make out. I need to cut DH. His gray is starting to show, but I must admit, I think it looks attractive!

Enjoy dinner and your day!

Glad they made the right decision and canceled before it got too bad there. Our district has a policy, because so many kids walk and don't have parents who are home during the day that, if once at school, they feel they are safer there, they won't let them leave, no matter what the situation is (obviously as long as the situation is safe). Which I am okay with. Years and years ago, I guess a poor little boy walked home from school or the bus stop, couldn't get inside his home because there was no one home, waited on his porch and froze to death, so the district refuses to let out early. They even have a policy now, if the parents are late picking the kids up more than one time at the bus stop or school, they call children and youth. Some people think it is extreme, but I think it is awesome and such great ways to be looking out for our kids. I mean, I know there is emergencies and something that can happen, but obviously if it is a repetitive matter, then someone should get involved. Our kids here don't have school already Friday anyway. We're to get nailed, as of right now it looks like Saturday and Sunday, but we'll see! I hope you have a great day and stay safe! Enjoy the snow!

LOL Nancy says she likes my gray, too. I think it just looks old...of course, my gray has been increasing for a while now!
