Hello everyone. Just checking in. It's been a busy week. I have been visiting my parents as my father's health is adding fast. While there I was able to see my Nephew's first apartment and drop him off some house warming gifts as well as a storage tub FULL of junk food and sweets. The perfect thing for two college-aged boys! I bet it didn't last the weekend! Just getting ready for the super bowl and I FINALLY got my Nutcracker display packed away today. Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe day!

Well for the first time in my 50+ years on this world our Christmas tree stayed up over 9 weeks. We purchased it the day after Thanksgiving and decorated it that weekend. Our household decorations started to come down 3-4 weeks ago but we had series of mishaps in the family; an unexpected death and two different members in the hospital including yours truly (I'm fine now). Plus our past few weekends have been spent out of town. Everything involving Christmas decorations were put on hold. Even our Epiphany celebration was postponed until February.
We kept the lights on the tree until Saturday and last night it finally was taken outside. The city no longer picks up trees so it will stay in my backyard and I will chop it up for kindling over the next few months while the weather stays cold. To say it was dry and brittle would be an understatement but it was still mostly green and continued to make the room smell like Christmas. The room looks naked now. I have never kept a tree up 2+ months. It was kind of nice however.

Feeling a little down today so I swung by for a little pick-me-up and I feel better already...Our tree is still up, the Christmas music is still playing although, I have played Christmas music every single day since 12/01/17...Every...single...day...I'm not sure if what I am feeling is still the post holiday let down, thoughts and feelings over my Dad who is suffering with dementia or just general malaise but it ain't any fun...I try to concentrate on how blessed I am, and that helps too! So, hello to you my friends, old and new, and Merry Christmas!
Thinking of you, JayIsh, and hoping there are happier things to occupy your thoughts very soon. You have a lot of friends behind you here. Keep playing that Christmas music!

Good Morning, Folks.
Can you believe just how close we are to the end of January? The year is moving by so fast even though it has barely started!

No wonder our count has advanced so quickly, and that we are so rapidly approaching our next Milestone marker.

The latest:
Days to the Season: 289
Days to Christmas Day: 331

Just 2 short weeks from tomorrow, Guys.
We reach the end of the first quarter of our Season count.
And then the SECOND quarter begins!
Geez Louise!

Chilly yesterday, but dry, calm and sunny.
Similar conditions for today and tomorrow before we drop down into the low 20's tomorrow evening, then into the teens the following night.
For now, we begin this new week at 42 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everybody. And a great week as well!
Thanks Crown! Happy Superbowl Week!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

Wow, it's a beautiful morning here in Georgia! It's supposed to turn wet and cold later this week, though not as cold as most of the country. I'm glad it's still winter. Our summers are so brutal.

Jacob's car is STILL in the body shop. I called them this morning, and they hope to have it ready by Friday...maybe. What in the world. Jacob is still driving my truck, and he called last night to tell me that a girl hit my truck in the school parking lot. He said my truck is a little scratched, but not bad.

I'm going to have a nervous breakdown if these children of mine don't stop wrecking my vehicles!!!:confused::mad:

Ok. I hope y'all have a great day! :D

God Bless! That has to be so frustrating. I hope they soon have it done for you guys!

Merry Monday!! I am enjoying some coffee and checking emails. Typical work day for me and my youngest daughter had basketball practice tonight. My husband is working late tonight so I was thinking maybe I will make breakfast for dinner..
Breakfast for dinner is always a fun meal. Tonight we had grilled cheese. Carolina is not a fan of it so she had cinnamon toast with cream cheese on it.
Good morning everyone! Not much on the agenda for today. We have our niece today and DH has the day off. We're working on cleaning the house as well. I have an occupational health appointment - I have to be cleared back to work from their stand point, but there should be any issues. He then as a doctor's appointment after that at 130 for a check-up on his blood pressure and I've gotta get some blood work done.

Other than that, DD has private baton lessons tonight. Dinner pork and kraut, hot dogs, mashed potatoes, and then some type of veggie.

Hope you all have a great day!
I hope everyone had good dr visits! Have a great day

Prayers for your dad and family! Dementia is awfully terrible. My grandma suffered from it

We are having some crazy weather this week.
Tomorrow is 43 with rain/snow at night
Weds is 33
Thursday is 20
Not looking forward to Thursday as it is our delivery day so we will have to be outside breaking down pallets since our stock room is tiny

Thinking of Jay. (((Hugs))) to you and prayers!

We did, thank you!

Morning MMC! Like many of you have said, Crazy Cold is Coming here! But it will only last about 2 days and then bounce up quickly. It will actually turn mild (for early February) by later this weekend and into next week. Just gotta deal with the brutal cold for a couple days. Still seeing a few Christmas lights on. I love those people for keeping it alive all January long. Have a great day!

Good Tuesday morning! We were expecting to wake up to a lot of snow that was supposed to start overnight and last all day but nothing so far,1 and they now predict fewer centimeters than originally announced, which is a good thing. A bit of grocery shopping and laundry to be done this morning as I work the afternoon/evening shift. 2 work days to go before I have 11 days off. Have a great day everyone!

It's great to see you, Jay!

I'm so sorry your dad is struggling with that awful disease. I'll be sure to include him and you in my prayers. In the meantime, have fun with us as often as you can!

I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad you're doing better.

If it makes you feel any better, our tree is STILL up. And dry & brittle. A couple days ago, our dog stepped on the "clicker" that turns on the lights and I couldn't help but smile. :) Then I had to turn them off quickly, since it's so dry LOL.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I have a busy day in front of me with a visit from a large delegation of customers. And it's supposed to rain today. Great.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good Morning, Citizens of MMC and all of its far-reaching territories.
Arise to greet a new day with an entirely new set of count numbers to enjoy at breakfast along with our latest freshly-baked Milestone update to munch on.

Here we go:
Days to the Season: 288
Days to Christmas Day: 330

And the latest word on our ONE-QUARTER POINT marker indicates that it is now just TWO weeks away as of today.
At that point, we will be entering the SECOND quarter of our Season count (hard though that might be to believe).

Continued cool yesterday but it really was not too bad for January.
We could reach the upper 50's for this afternoon's high before we plunge down to the low 20's tonight and tomorrow night.
Currently, we are waking up to 43 degrees here, under rather cloudy skies and we have a near 100% chance of rain this afternoon.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Folks!
