Good Sunday morning! Nothing but grey skies here and more rain coming in, with a risk of thunderstorms later on. The one good thing though is that we can keep all the windows open and get some fresh air. It’ll be laundry and chores for me this morning and then we’ll watch Good Omens and maybe a movie or two. Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning, checked out a few local yard sales yesterday morning and found a couple fall flags (one large one and one small one). Also picked up a couple gifts at the mall yesterday. Yankee Candle is having their semi annual sale and picked up an Owl Tart Warmer for 75% off so I picked one up for our daughter for Christmas and we got an Iron Man Build a Bear complete with the outfit for our son for his birthday. Got to finish laundry today and go grocery shopping. Why do weekends go by so fast? Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning all! Prepping some food this am - my niece's 10th birthday party is this afternoon at 2 (how can she be 10 already?) - with her being 10, that means DD will be 10 this fall. Ugh!!! Anyway, we have that go to for a few hours, then DH has to go to work. so I told the kids will come back and do a game and movie night, with some dips.

We got a little of fire in last night. We were still outside and around 9 or so, it started getting very windy and the temp dropped 10 degrees or so. We looked at the radar and there wasn't any rain around. 10 minutes or so later, the sky just opened up. Thankfully, we had cleaned up everything, except for the chairs we were sitting on. Last summers weather was so disappointing. I am hoping this summer is better.

Hope you all have a blessed Sunday!

Hello all and Happy Sunday!

Not much on the agenda for today. I slept until 10:30, which is not my norm. But I could not get to sleep last night. I finally fell asleep sometime after 4am. Oh, well.

I had planned to do some yard work today, but it rained a lot last night and my back yard is back to a soggy mess, ruining many of my yard work plans. No more rain in the forecast for the next couple of days so hopefully tomorrow I can get some things done outside.

Instead of have been working on my man cave. When my oldest left for the Army last year, I turned his old room into my room. It was already painted Browns colors and we put up a lot of stuff last fall. But, at the Strawberry festival I picked up some Browns' helmet lights and had a couple of history pictures to put up. My drumset is also in there, and I needed to set it back up. Overall it has been a productive, yet still relaxing day.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!

Enjoy the movie! Is it based on the book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett?

Good Morning, Hosts!

<< "Hosts", Crown? >>
Oh, indeed.
We host the spirit of Christmas and its glorious Season here year round, never letting the flame grow too low or (heaven forbid!) flicker out.
It's an important job to host that flame. And everyone here does it with care and style!

The latest:
Days to the Season: 164
Days to Christmas Day: 206

And as far as Milestones are concerned, the next one is now UNDER A WEEK AWAY!
We speak, of course, about the 200-Day Christmas Day Window and the fact that after we reach that point, BOTH of our count numbers will commence with a "1"!
(What fun we will have in the coming days!)

Over the course of just two days, our weather has gone from unpleasant to sublime.
Moderate temps were the order of the day yesterday, with lowered humidity and no rain. Even the mosquitos cooperated!
Today will see us move back into the upper 80's before we drop about 8 degrees again to start next week.
Our present back yard reading is 68 degrees to begin part II of our weekend.

Have a Super Sunday, Folks!

-reindeer- We're like merry Olympiads! +i

And to prove it; since there is road resurfacing going on around my neck of the woods and I've had to take alternate routes to a few places; I have located two mailboxes in locations I did not know existed.

Regular people might see a mailbox, others would miss it because they aren't looking for one.

A Host of Christmas sees the mailbox as a merry portal to deliver greetings.

Stay jolly! +g

Evening all,
Just prepping for the children to go back to school tomorrow. Weather been mixed warm but overcast with rain. Looks to clear though the week.
Just off to pick up my daughter who has been in London for the weekend so will be late by the time I crawl into bed.
Sweet dreams MMC-ers

When I left for College, my parents turned my bedroom into an upstairs den so if my dad wanted to watch a late movie, he could slip in there instead of having a TV in the bedroom where he and my mom slept so as to not disturb her rest. Then the living room downstairs was for conversation, entertaining and such. Not a man cave by the way I've seen things set up these days, but it suited their needs and the pull out sofa was extra wide so often one brother and myself would wind up sleeping there on Christmas Eve.

Snowflake mom. Sorry for your loss. In my darkest hour as I grieved the loss of my wonderful father , words of encouragement came to me from my on line family here. As I have battled my own health concerns this past year, the same words of encouragement again came to me. Your on line family shares your loss. It is a sad time here too in SE VA with the horrible shooting tragedy. The spirit of the season is needed. More than ever.

Best,
Binger

Happy Cool June Monday MMC! We have a couple of cool days to start the week before the warmer and more humid weather returns. A beautiful sunny Monday is in store for us. Hopefully that's a sign of a good week ahead. Have a great Cool June Monday (unless it's hot where you are)!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

It was a long, hot weekend, hitting 100°F every day. But we're supposed to get some relief this week; only md-90's and a slight chance of rain all week. Woo hoo!

We had a pool-full of kids Saturday evening. Our niece came with her two boys, and the neighbors saw them and asked if they could bring their kids. What a blast those kids had!

I have to leave work early today to go to University registration with Elizabeth. Nancy usually handles these sort of things, but she's trying to get caught up at work so we can go on our NY trip in a couple weeks.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be a nice day, mostly sunny with highs near 72. I’m trying to fight off a headache right now so I’ll probably take it easy this morning. Thankfully I don’t have too much going on. I’ll just be working on some chores around the house today and I plan on making a pot of chicken soup for dinner. I’d like to get outside to enjoy the weather too so I’ll go for a couple of walks with Rocky. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!
xx

Good Morning, Fearless Friendly Friends!

And we do fearlessly defend Christmas year round.....but always in a friendly way.

Well, let's begin feeling extra friendly to start this new week by reviewing the latest numbers, then examining the latest Milestone data:
Days to the Season: 163
Days to Christmas Day: 205

And the 200-Day Christmas Day point, our next marker?
Well that's now only FIVE days down the road.
(We are practically there!)

It was a bit warmer here yesterday than Saturday was, but still nice.
Today and tomorrow will see another drop back in temperature to the low 80's, with a zero percent chance of rain predicted.
Our week-starting reading here is 69 degrees under sunny skies.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everybody.
And a great week, too!
