Good morning MMC ~
It’s going to be a nice day, mostly sunny with highs near 72. I’m trying to fight off a headache right now so I’ll probably take it easy this morning. Thankfully I don’t have too much going on. I’ll just be working on some chores around the house today and I plan on making a pot of chicken soup for dinner. I’d like to get outside to enjoy the weather too so I’ll go for a couple of walks with Rocky. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!
xx

Hope you feel better, HMG!

Good morning, friends and Happy Monday! Not much planned for today. It is nice out today, but the high is supposed to only be 62. I have my niece, so maybe we'll go outside and enjoy the weather a little. Today marks one more week of school for the kids. I think they're. tad excited!

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning! We are, thanks! Hope you guys are too! Just busy, as always. I think summer is the busiest time of the year (besides the holidays), of course! We're constantly running and doing fun stuff, but that's okay. It's fun!

Merry Monday!
Thanks for all the prayers and warm wishes. I am hanging in there and trying to keep busy. My daughter has softball practice tonight and I am going to catch up on some laundry. Hope you all have a great Monday!

It surely is crazy. Time moves so quickly anymore, but it is exciting!

Hello all,

Things are a little cooler here today. I wanted to take the dog to the pond so he could play in the water, but it was a bit chilly this morning, so I opted for a walk in the forest. He gets to explore as much as he wants because we basically have the place to ourselves. Everyone else is either at work, or on another part of the trail.

This was posted from the Facebook group Christmas Past. His podcast talks about all things past Christmas and each episode focuses on one or two things. They're only about 10 or 15 minutes to listen to, so it's nice for a quick break from your day. Anyway, the post was announcing that Brommer's Christmas World is hiring calligraphers for their ornament section.

They personalize over 200,000 ornaments a year and send them all over the globe. Anyone in the Saginaw area of Michigan looking for some part time work. I wish I could, but I live across the border. :(

We are so close to hitting the 200 marker! I can't wait. Have fun this week.

Good morning ... I am really in a Christmas Mood today. Not sure if it was the fact that we picked up a couple Christmas gifts over the past few days or that our weather went from summer to fall like once a storm front moved in yesterday evening or both that brought it on. Not much longer now until we see Christmas on QVC, can't wait. Well my lunch break is almost up. Hope everyone has a great day!

Our household's Father's Day celebration came and went over the weekend. We had an excellent day at the regional amusement park. Though they changed some height parameters that left the three year old grandvarmint out a lot. My daughter was annoyed by this on top of having to pay for the little one's admission, this year. Of course, policy is safety based, and not getting sued for ignoring same. The day was very good overall.
Getting Ready Dept: As I sped through my shower/shave process to get us out the door for the above event, the bathroom door opened and the tub curtain was knocked on by the three year old. "Is someone in there?", she loudly asked. I gave a minimal answer that satisfied her. Then her dad scooted the rambunctious tot into another part of the house and shut the door.

I can still remember the excitement of the last week of school from when I was young. The hardest one was the year I was graduating from Junior High to High School because I switching from the Catholic board to the Public Board for distance and so I wouldn't have to wear a uniform. I knew I wouldn't see many of those friends some that I knew back in my elementary school days. And summer meant at least one family vacation and one week of something special - a camp of some sort and so much free time - we spent most of our time outdoors. Although I spent quite a bit of time in my room working on my stories when the urge struck me to write something down.

That's pretty neat. About fifteen years ago, I found out that when a cousin by marriage had died, the relatives took up the merry torch and were answering letters to Santa. Genoa was our local Santa at that post office. I wish had time back then to take part in replying to the letters to Santa.

I don't have the penmanship or skills for scripting on ornaments due to my lefthandedness so even if I lived near Bronner's that would not be a job for me.

My youngest granddaughter was beyond herself with emotion that she wasn't tall enough to go on the Sky Screamer at Marine Land in Niagara Falls with her dad, mom and a few others - my husband and I and our youngest grandson were content not to go. Hannah said, "But I'm brave enough and that's what matters." Poor dear, but that's not how they base their decisions, although in that case, I'm sure it had to do with the body harness on the ride.

When I lived in Toronto, I lived with 5 guys, one was my brother. One day, I thought I was alone and didn't lock the bathroom door, one of the roommates came in and instead of embarrassing both of us simply said, "Oh, I just need my comb and I'll be out in a jiffy." He grabbed his comb off the ledge under the mirror and out he went.
Geesh! I was still slightly embarrassed, but he managed to keep it cool as if he just walked in on one of the guys.

We were childhood friends and neighbours so I guess it was kind of like having a brother woopsie-daisy his way in.

You know I remembered to lock the door after that even when I thought I was alone.
