Merry Thursday!

The contractor was here, an estimate was given, and an agreement was reached. Finally a new roof will be on the house! Prep work starts tomorrow. :)

The heat wave has finally started here. Lots of sunshine the past few days. Alas the mosquitoes remain. :(

Be merry!

Good afternoon, friends. How do y'all feel being on the right half of Christmas? I'm pretty excited...and QVC, too? Wow. I almost can't stand it!

Took off today and will be off tomorrow, too. Work Monday and Tuesday, then a five day weekend. We will hit the road on Tuesday for a 4 hour trip to see my brother. He is the parks director in a town of a 50,000...and they have a huge day. I'm pretty excited about our trip. They have an indoor water slide park that we will get access to after hours and an awesome splash pad. That will be on Wednesday. On Thursday, they have a huge day in their town square and then a firework extravaganza. I'm so stinking excited. I love the 4th of July.

Leaving town means quite a lot to do. Yard has to be done, we have to pack, cars has to be cleaned up...so it will be a busy weekend. Looking forward to it!

It only got to 27 yesterday and I'm already feeling it, but I will get by with several fans and keeping things cool instead of AC; the noise disturbs his majesty the feral cat too much.

A new roof - O'Malley caved for three days when we had a few shingles replaced - the sound of scraping off the old ones and securing the new ones was too much for him.

Our mosquitoes seem smaller and nastier than last year.

There was a threat of thunder storms and hail late yesterday, but we never got touched by even a trickle of rain.

Supposed to see rain this afternoon and into the evening.

Enjoy the new roof - make sure there's a good landing spot for Santa's Sleigh.

Welcome Friday - come this way! -sun-

As of 5:00 p.m., I will begin my long weekend.

Nothing much planned yet, will have a visit with my dad at some point and I have tons of housework to do including cleaning the balcony windows and putting the bird feeders back up.

Might take in live entertainment at the waterfront, but won't stick around for fireworks on Canada Day.

O'Malley is scared of the explosive sound so I'll keep him company through it.

Drinking coffee with cinnamon bun cream - a bit rich, but it is working to hide the bitterness that still lingers from the antibiotics I was taking.

Keep a merry thought in your head-surprise-

Morning all!
I am doing my best to catch up having been AWOL for the last few days.
Husband has unwillingly returned to work today after 10 days off. We have had a lovely time, been out and about, enjoying each others company etc and then the old grouch returned this morning whilst he was getting ready for work (to be fair it was hot here last night so I don't think he slept well either) so I will just leave him to it and crack on

The sunshine has finally arrived here in Wales from across the continent and boy is it warm. Its currently sitting around 15 degrees (59F) and we are due to get to about 25 (77F) this afternoon........considering Wales is mostly rain a good 90% of the year - this is tropical for us......we literally skip Spring altogether and go straight from cold weather to boiling hot so I am suffering at the minute. Apparently over the weekend though we are meant to see our hottest days on record for the year and will be hitting 30 (86F) Needless to say my poor black doggies are suffering and are currently curled up in front of a fan :-)

Put sun cream on my daughter this morning and my hand went all tingly so hoping that that settles but may have to look into a new sun cream!

On the plus side it does mean that I have tackled the garden (and am still tackling it) Husband managed to successfully avoid electrocution after cutting through the hedge trimmer lead as well but short circuited the house in the process.

Today mostly involves reclaiming the house after him being off, listing things on Ebay and some more gardening.....mainly moving stuff.

Hope your all well

Drinking coffee with cinnamon bun cream
That sounds lovely. we dont get all those flavoured creams here but they sound lovely.

Good Friday morning! The hot and humid weather continues. We’ve had a threat of thunderstorms almost daily here but so far nothing. I was supposed to start a 3-day weekend at 4pm today but unfortunately I have to go in to work tomorrow to make sure we’re two managers at the store, as another colleague did not get cleared to come back to work yet, as he is still dealing with Bell’s palsy symptoms.

Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

Happy Final Friday of First Half MMC! A beautiful day yesterday and another today. I got lucky with the days I've taken off so far. Just going to go to the mall today and a few other errands. Been enjoying getting some sun too. And I know everyone is happy it's Friday. Have a great Final Friday of First Half!

Merry Friday Christmas everyone!
Tonight is the first of four Independence Day celebrations. Each of the four surrounding cities takes a turn with festivals, concerts, and fireworks leading up to the Fourth. My wife and I will be working a few hours in our churches tent handing out free lemonade & water bottles while others apply face tattoos. Should be a lot of fun for all. Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Happy Friday MMC...another week over. My daughter has a softball game tonight and then one of the player's family invited the whole team back to their house for a cookout. So that should be fun. Not too many plans this weekend...just need to catch up on some errands and hopefully watching a CIJ movie or 2.
Hope you all have a great day!!

Good Morning, Weekend Eve'ers.
Can we really be here again so soon?

But there is a bigger question:
Can we really be HERE so soon?:
Days to the Season: 138
Days to Christmas Day: 180

And most of all, can we really be only 16 days away from the TWO-THIRDS point to Christmas Season 2019? Just 2 weeks from the day after tomorrow?
If the answer to that question is "yes", then we can believe most anything!

We had another quite warm and humid day yesterday. The kind of day that makes it urgent in ones mind to get all vigorous outside activity completed in the morning because it might be most unpleasant to do it in the afternoon.
At least we have had no storms, but are starting to get a little dry so some gentle rain might be welcomed.
Unfortunately, the next 5 days show little chance of precipitation, with the highs each day in the low to mid 90's.
Our present temperature reading here is 75 degrees, under sunny skies.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!
And enjoy your Weekend Eve to the fullest.

Embracing a Christmas-in-July theme, Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes can be found exclusively at Walmart for a limited time during these warmer months.

The tree-shaped snack cakes get some new packaging for the summer that shows what Santa is up to for summer vacation.

You can find the seasonal dessert at Walmart, while supplies last, for $2.00 per 8.62-oz box (with five cakes per box). They'll also be available (with different packaging ) at many-a-retailer around the winter holidays.

Merry Friday MMC ~
Not too much going on here today. I have an appointment to have my hair cut & colored later this morning. I’m going to pick up steaks to grill for dinner afterward. Other than that I’ll just be working on some chores around the house. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great weekend ahead!!!
xx
