Good morning all! Happy Monday! I’m off today and had my doctors appointment for my drivers license follow-up. I’ve been approved to drive! Yay!!! I just have to wait on the state now to send everything back in through the mail. The doctor told me to call them tomorrow for an update, to so how long that should take. Hopefully not long, but I’ve already waited 6 months, so I can wait a little longer.

My niece is here today too. Not much else is planned today, except DD’s private baton lessons tonight. We leave for Canton, Ohio Thursday around lunch time for internationals and will be there until late Sunday night. She’s been practicing extra hard!

Hope you all are having a great day so far!

Good news - honk!honk!beep!beep!

Good morning all!

Lots going on this week in my world. Youth football camp Today through Wednesday. More Little League Football sign-ups Thursday through Saturday. Football coaches meeting Sunday. The relaxing part of my summer is not officially over. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted. LOL

MIL update: Things are not going well at all. After it looked like some progress was being made, last night she became unresponsive again. They believe she had a stroke, though they are not sure of the severity. Her ammonia levels are very high and it looks like her liver is completely shot. She is currently being sedated and back on a respirator. The doctor told my FIL to hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. The current prognosis is not good. My wife went down to the hospital this morning to be with her dad and sister. I am just trying to keep things as normal as possible here at home.

It's going to be hard on everyone during the waiting and hoping time; prayers continue.

Happy July Week 2 MMC! Now that the holiday week is over back to normal right? Actually I'm only working 3 days and then off for 4. My mom's bday is Thursday so we're taking her out. For today, just hoping to have a decent Monday at work. Have a great start to July Week 2!

Happy early birthday to your mom!

I’m very sorry to hear about your MIL’s health. I will keep sending her and your family positive thoughts and strength.

So sorry to hear this....many prayers.

Happy Beach Days MMC! Definitely in the main part of summer now. Even when it "cools off" it's still warm. But I'm enjoying it. Soon I'm sure I'll be dreaming of the Bers and Autumn. Have a great Beach Days of Summer!
I am enjoying it too...I walked outside last night at 9:15 and it was still warm and comfortable. I sighed and said I love this time of year.
Ask me in a month and I will say I am ready for fall!

Good morning MMC!
Last night my wife and I became empty nesters. Three kids raised, educated, employed and paying taxes. One lives 750 miles away, another 500 miles, and the last one to move out lives here in town. It's kind of a weird feeling not having any of them here. Christmas morning will be very different for sure. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Happy Tuesday...busy work day ahead but I am off on Thursday and Friday. Tonight my daughter has another softball game but if they lose tonight then they are done but a win means we play tomorrow night too. Hope you all have a great day!
Good luck to your daughter and her team!

We still have another month before that happens to us. We'll have to continue to meet here and commiserate. :)

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

I installed a SimpliSafe alarm system in my father-in-law's house last night, and I hope it gives him some peace of mind. He's been restless and "skittish" since Mrs. Hilda's passing, being all alone for the first time. Maybe this will help.

My mom said our cousin whose husband recently passed also wants me to install one in her house. I'm turning into a regular salesman for SimpliSafe! LOL

Elizabeth is being interviewed on the radio for Mary Poppins this morning!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

It sounds like you and your lovely bride did a great job of parenting. Think about what you said. Raised, educated, employed, and paying taxes. The roots of that success lie with you and your wife. Nice going.

Good Morning, Second Day'ers.
And day number two of the work week sees us creep nearly to within striking distance of our next Milestone.
(Keep the dial on this channel for details.)

The daily data:
Days to the Season: 127
Days to Christmas Day: 169

The Milestone watch?
Well, rumor has it the next one, the TWO-THIRDS marker to the Season, will be arriving in only 5 days.
(Well, actually it's more than just a rumor. The chart, our bible, says so!)

The humitiy remained at high levels yesterday, but the prediction of relief by tomorrow or Thursday convinced me to briefly postpone lawn mowing duties until then.
Right now, we observe 75 degrees here the middle part of the state, and a light sprinkle has just passed through.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Friends!

Thanks HIB!
We passed onto them what was passed to us by our parents.
We just pray it was enough.
