Good morning, MMC! TGIF! I am off for the next 4 days and am so THANKFUL! We are headed to Pittsburgh today. We're going to the Strip District and then the Pirates Game. We're going with two other families, so I know we'll have a great time. Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

I hope you are referring to a strip of streets for shopping and dinning; 'cause you had me worried there for a moment. Is it the title or is it just me?
Have fun!

Came home to a happy purring cat rubbing his head on the wall that separates part of the kitchen entrance and the foyer; merawlling up a storm. I put my bags down, gave him his rubs and then he smacked his lips. Could he be more obvious? Of course, he's using me for food.

I had to remind him how lucky he is to have me as his "mama" since he tried hard to keep me awake after 2:30 a.m. when he decided I had plenty of rest by then and he's still my buddy.

Going to set up the new laptop tomorrow and then the current one will just be used when I'm doing stuff for work.

That's handy because I can't download things on it due to the fact it's connected to the "Mothership" - well sort of - so only IT can add or remove applications to ensure security is top notch.

Stay jolly! +b

Merry Friday everyone! So far the temperature is still pretty hot in good, ole Arizona. 103 degrees in Phoenix! Nothing really changed so far XD But I am still looking forward to the wonderful days of Fall! Stay blessed everyone! :)

-surprise-

My legs are exhausted. I had a hard run tonight followed by a league (frisbee) game.

I have been absent for just over a week. I was in Edmonton from last Wednesday until Sunday. From Thursday until Saturday, I competed in the Canadian Ultimate Championship.

Earlier in the year, we felt as if there would be heavy competition at the tournament. Instead, our closest game was 14-7... and then we won the finals 15-7 to become 2019 Canadian Ultimate Masters Champions! Masters is 33+ years old. I'd say from a team of about 28 guys, I've been playing with about half of them for 5-10 years, so it made everything a lot easier for most of us.

I'm near the bottom right of the team photo. And a photo of me with the trophy. Yay! ...Oh, and despite it being regularly above 90 degrees in Ottawa for much of the summer, it barely reached 60 degrees in Edmonton.

Congratulations, Brent! Great photos!

:locotreeI'm feeling extra merry -lights-

So, my dad is interested in going to Bronner's Christmas store with me in early October. I had mentioned it on one of our drives recently.

Funny thing, when we were in London, he remarked to my cousin that he wasn't sure how we'd get along for 10 days together and was happy that he discovered I was a nice person to be around.

I knew he loved me, but to like me is different. We never got to spend much time together on our own without other people aiding in the conversation. Over the last four years, when I'd go on my own it was usually to take my mom out for lunch and shopping so he could have a break.

I have to double-check my vacation dates, but if we can go there before the snow flies that would be great.

He thinks I was there as a child, but I don't remember.

It's about an 8 hour drive from here so if we take a day both ways and spend two days there - that could work - I can't leave O'Malley alone longer than that and it's clear he wouldn't be content anywhere else.

That's enough to make anyone jolly!:bundleup

You must let me know if/when you are going to Bronners so I can try to meet you there!

Whew! It's Friday - "keep your nose tidy" (as my mom used to say)

Once I get through the business of today, I'll have three days off. Meeting with lawyers Monday afternoon. That task I've been putting off (unknowingly) for too long. I have three important things to take care of, but have to settle the Estate before I can push forward to settle them. I'm really having trouble with this because once I receive the money from my husband's TFSA (remember no Will), I know it will hit me hard with the reality that he's gone and not coming back.

I have so many good days and moments, feeling a freedom I haven't felt in three years and then I get hit with waves of emotions and grief over the loss of my soulmate.

My dad is going to join me at the lawyers for part of it anyway in case I become emotional; usually I can go into robot mode and deal with the task at hand, but I'm not so sure in this case.

I was going to go to Ottawa for an overnight to visit #1 son and his family; youngest grandchild's birthday is on Sunday and will be celebrated over the weekend. Wow, Lexi will be 8 and the oldest is going to be 28 in December.

Might go for an overnight next weekend. It's important that we stay connected and if that means I give them time to share their stories or just be together; it's important that our lives continue together.

Have a great day - keep a merry thought in your head :ornarment

Well, Well, Well! Look what I saw at Crabtree Valley Mall this evening.
(Looks like we will be able to launch the Christmas Blossoms 2019 thread late next month in traditional style!)

There is a black cover over the entrance behind the door glass. What you are seeing is a reflection of what's across the hall. You cannot see into the store at all at this point, but I'll keep my eye out each time I go by.
(Maybe I'll get a sneak peek at some point!)
This is the earliest I can recall the store starting to set up here.

Don't be too surprised if it doesn't happen until the spring.

Happy Weekend Before Labor Day Weekend MMC! A beautiful Saturday here. We should see sunshine and highs in the upper 70s with low humidity. That's about as perfect as it gets. Going to really enjoy it. Made it to another weekend! Have a great Weekend Before Labor Day Weekend!

Good morning ~
Merry Saturday!
It’s going to be a beautiful day, sunny with a high of 77. We’re currently at 63 degrees. I’m heading out soon to do some food shopping. My youngest is coming over later to have lunch with me and hang out for a couple of hours. We’re thinking about taking a ride to Hobby Lobby. Other than that I will be working on the laundry. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a great weekend!
xx

Good Morning, Day-Before Fellow Travelers.
<< "Day-Before", Crown? >>
The day before a Milestone Day, of course!

Today's Count presentation:
Days to the Season: 81
Days to Christmas Day: 123

And TOMORROW, Folks.
The TWO-THIRDS marker to Christmas Day.
Be here!

Repetition once again, yesterday. Hot until a late afternoon rainstorm, then some more overnight.
Now, today will be an entirely different story, and our high is predicted to be in the low to mid 70's. Far more pleasant.
(I'm almost looking forward to mowing that lawn!)
We begin the weekend here at 68 degrees, the coolest start in a long time.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone.
And a truly great weekend as well!

A ha! Once again Crown is going up and down the escalator at the Crabtree Valley Mall! Up and Down. Yabba!
Yep. Riding the escalator has its ups and down, alright.
But it was not the only thing there that gave me a lift yesterday! (See my photo above.)

Good Saturday morning! What a difference in temperatures now that the humidity is gone. We were able to open the bedroom window and turn off the AC for the first time since early July, it felt so good sleeping with cool fresh air coming in. Lots to do during my weekend off. I need to go find new dress shoes. I have been wearing 3 different pairs at work and all of them are now hurting my feet, so time to change shoes. David has to do some shopping now that he's back at work 3 days per week. And we have the usual grocery shopping to do and chores. We'll try to get most things done today so we can relax tomorrow. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Friends, it is 73 degrees with a small breeze blowing and it feels magical. Almost...almost fall like. Next weekend, the lows in the morning are supposed to be 61. I'm so happy!!! I really enjoy summer...don't get me wrong. However, I just love fall. We are about to enter the last full week of August, too. Fall is less than a month away. 100 days to Christmas is only a few weeks away....and Christmas in August is on QVC Sunday.

Folks, Christmas is coming....you can almost see it from here!

Good morning, loving the fall like weather and it is expected to last for a few more days :) We got new washer and dryer installed yesterday, such a big difference from our old set. Well I am going to get started some on deep cleaning. Have a great day!
