Good Sunday afternoon, Christmas friends!

Whew, what a strange last few days we've had!

Thursday afternoon (the day of the hurricane), mom called to say she was so dizzy that she fell outside. I picked her up and we went to the local emergency room, where they diagnosed vertigo. Sent her home with Dramamine.

Friday morning, she called me, and she was desperate for help with the pain in her leg. I went to her house and took her to another hospital where they found a blood clot in her leg. She was sent to Savannah, which was upside-down with all of the hurricane evacuees. We spent the night there and they finally released her Friday afternoon with a blood thinner.

Yesterday, I went bird hunting with Bernie at my bother's-in-law farm. We had a VERY successful hunt, but it sure was HOT!! They were hunting again this afternoon, but I told them I had to work today. A little fib (since I'm typing this at work), but I want them to invite me again...just when it's not 100° outside.

Nancy's hard at work on a September 15th tax deadline, and Elizabeth and I just had lunch at mom's. Jacob had school work to do, so he didn't come home, and Elizabeth just went back to school.

I'm ready for a regular day.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Thoughts and prayers for your mom, I hope she’s feeling better. And I’m so glad you guys made it through the hurricane okay.

I'm so glad you could be there for your mom through her health scare and that the blood clot was diagnosed quickly, avoiding major complications like the pulmonary embolism I suffered through a few years back. Sending her well wishes for a swift recovery.

I had to grab a few things from there today and discovered large ornaments on display as well as fancy hanging lanterns with holly and other things inside and some lights; the trees are still high up on the shelves; Halloween stuff is everywhere.

Wondered into the Hallmark store for a look-see and came home with a large Fall fleece throw in carmel dark brown and orange. I also grabbed some red, green tissue & gold and silver foil wrap; so I got Autumn and Christmas in one stop. Didn't get any ornaments today.

That is magnificent to hear, Auntie. Perhaps I should have made a brief visit yesterday. Darn. Overall, it seems like you had quite the festive experience. Good for you!

Hope your mom is on the mend; glad you live so close.

Bless your heart, you're always in my prayers.

Thanks, Brad. Not sure what the message was about or why my husband was sobbing in my dream; #2 son is fine and recently moved into a new home with his girlfriend her two kids and two dogs.

I had a nap this morning before I went shopping.

Similar feeling, but a different dream; this time my mom and my husband were consoling each other on the same cloud, when they noticed me watching them, they tried to smile. Then a green chameleon waved at me from the side of the curtain hanging from the bedroom window and I focussed on the chameleon and woke up when I was straining my eyes to see passed him and the cloud was gone.

I don't get my dreams; sometimes they are messages and sometimes they are simply dreams.

I guess I should just be glad I got to see them and not worry so much about the messages.

Wow. Thats a tough few days. Praying for your mom.

Good morning MMC friends..Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and is ready for the challenges the week ahead has for us...Its a wet and windy day here today....First week of the Bers has flown by...Nothing much planned this week but work...Enjoy your day ahead MMC friends

Merry Monday, back to work for me. +g No rain expected today.

It's a cool 2c / 35f in my neck of the woods this morning, with a frost warning. Should warm up to 15c / 59f so I'm hoping to get away with a long pair of shorts so I'm not too hot in the afternoon.

Had somewhat of a rough night, but slept for 3 solid hours at one point so I can pull off whatever tasks come my way at work.

Have a meeting in the afternoon so the day will fly by.

Picked up cranberry mist and fresh pine Febreze yesterday when I was shopping; the festive scents have hit the shelves, but the spring ones are still available as well.

Stay jolly +c

Happy Settling Into September MMC! Well now it's really back to the grind 5 days a week which will only make evenings and weekends even more special and valued. It's actually supposed to be mostly a mild/warm week so we're still holding on to some late summer weather. Well it is late summer after all for 2 more weeks. Have a great Settling Into September Monday!

Good morning!
It’s going to be cloudy today with a high of 74 degrees. I’m heading out soon to walk Rocky. He has a groomer appointment this morning. I’m going to make a Target run at some point and visit my parents as well. Back home afterward to work on the laundry and I’m making a pot of chicken soup & biscuits for dinner. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!
xx

Good Morning, One-Week Pre Friends!
And we are indeed ONE WEEK pre-Milestone.
Details pending.

Days to the Season: 65
Days to Christmas Day: 107

One, lone, solitary week from this date, we will be arriving at the 100-Day Christmas Day marker and both of our count numbers will then have under three digits for the duration.
(Fast track to Christmas Season 2019!)

A bit on the warm, humid side here yesterday but not overly uncomfortable for the waning days of official summer.
Today's forecast indicates a high of 86 with a 50/50 shot at rain.
This brand new week begins rather humid here, at 75 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everybody!
And a great week ahead.

Merry Monday and back to the grind....
Yesterday we had a great day at our friend's house. We watched football and ate way too many snacks...lol
Looks like we are going to have a warm up this week with back to summer temps.
Hope you all have a great day!

Merry Monday!
Michelle and went to a Fall Festival yesterday. It was very warm but with all the trees around, they provided a nice shady canopy over everything. We are looking forward to the next one in two weeks at Jekyll Island, GA. We may stop at the Peanut Festival in Brooklet, GA on our way home too. Have a great week!!!

Enjoy your time on Jekyll! Did you see the news about that cargo ship capsized off St. Simon's Island?! Crazy!

It's been a few years since I've been to the Brooklet Peanut Festival, but it was always fun. Our band used to play there, too. LOL

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I had to drop off Lulu at the groomer, and she was not happy about it. Every time I point my truck in that direction, she starts crying. I'll never understand how she knows that's where we're going.

It's going to be another hot week, but I'm hoping the 'Bers will kick-in sometime in the next few weeks.

And I hope y'all have a great day! :D

I awoke at 4:35 to the sound of my husband sobbing on the side of the bed, talking with someone on the phone. All I heard was, "Whaaat? When?" followed by more sobs. I woke up to comfort him and find out what was going on and of course he wasn't there.

O'Malley heard me stirring and came down to ensure I didn't go back to sleep.

Might grab a nap later, but I figured I might as well get up.

Since I saw #1 son and he and the family are fine, I guess I should check in with #2 son today to see how he is doing. We haven't chatted much since Gary passed away. He is a friend of Bill W so I'm wondering if Gary's sobs were an attempt to get me to reach out. I will check in with him later.

Wound up ordering Chinese food for dinner last night. Plenty of leftovers for today and I'm making meatloaf for sandwiches and a few dinners for the first part of the week.

:brr Keep a merry thought in your head :lightman

Thinking of you, Auntie. Hoping you were able to talk with your son.

Boy, you sure have been busy! Glad to hear you guy are safe. I have been concerned, since I didn't see you post. Prayers for your mom and I hope she is back to feeling herself soon!
