Good First Day of Fall, Christmas friends!

I'm actually not feeling too hot today, not sure what's going on. I spent the weekend pressure-washing the house, and it looks pretty good!

Bellville is hosting a parade this afternoon for the local school's homecoming. I don't know why we're doing it on a Monday instead of a Friday, but it should be fun, anyway.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Praying you are better soon, Brad!

Good Monday late afternoon! Still very warm and humid here but in honour of the first Fall day, which was appropriately rainy, I’m making tomato and veggies soup for supper. At work today we started early planning for Christmas merchandise which will surely start to arrive any day now. Can’t wait! Have a great evening everyone!

Good Morning, Brand New Weekers.
A week which will see us to an important Milestone marker AND just might see us to the beginning of something else long anticipated!

To the numbers:
Days to the Season: 51
Days to Christmas Day: 93

Down now to a very scant TWO days until the THREE-QUARTER point to Christmas Day, leaving only the Home Stretch Milestone separating us from our wonderful Season of choice!

Noticeably warmer and more humid yesterday but still not uncomfortable, and it was dry with plenty of sun.
Today will see us to 90 degrees with mid to upper 80's for tomorrow and Wednesday, then back to the 90's again as summer makes a triumphant return....and on the first day of autumn, no less.
Our week-starting temperature here in mid-state is 67 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everybody.
Hope you have a great week ahead!

EXTRA-EXTRA! +b

Merry Newsflash; that "scant TWO days" takes us to the PINES gathering to celebrate the THREE-QUARTER mark toward Christmas Day.

Well dang it; don't get sick; we've got a milestone to celebrate on Wednesday.

Happy Autumn - crunchy leaves, pretty orange and reds, my slow cooker will be working everyday!
I love the ‘ber’ months - the weathers on the turn here so you can feel the chill on the air. That said we had all four seasons this weekend - wish Mother Nature would make her mind up!
Have a merry day!

Are you putting the leaves in the slow cooker? HaHa.

My wife "shushes" Roscoe if he gets noisy during the night. She wakes up just enough to "Shush." and falls back to sleep.:)

My "shushing" only lasts about ten minutes and then he moves closer and gets louder.

Happy First Day of Autumn.

It sure doesn't feel like it here. 88 right now and the high is supposed to get to 90. Dewpoint is 68 so it definitely feels more like summer than autumn. Cold front comes through tonight and then it'll be closer to normal for these parts (70's).

The foliage has already started. I've had some colorful trees in the yard for well over a week. They are dropping their leaves now only to have another tree take it's place. Yesterday that tree went yellow. (almost like it knew today was the first day of autumn .. LOL)

I hope everyone has a GREAT week! :)

Welcome to our merry funhouse, @ponytramp! ::welcome

Thanks so much! I can't wait! I've been lurking all these years thinking I wasn't "allowed" to post unless I bought a membership. Duh to me lol! I finally figured it out. I've had ever so much fun ever since! I think I might ask for the 13th off, too. Great idea! Is that your feral kitty in your picture! He looks quite royal! Thanks for info!

Welcome DixieBelle -santa-

Grab a hook and hang your stocking on our merry mantel.

In case your question hasn't been answered yet - this is the place to be for the November 12th excitement. We stay up late and at midnight (those of us who can last that long given various time zones) get to greet Nov. 13th as the official start to our "Christmas season"; more about that on the first page of this countdown thread.

I actually booked the 13th off at work so I could stay up late and sleep in (if my feral cat will permit it).

Looks like you joined several years ago and just started posting; walkabout there's lots to see and do here to keep us jolly during "the off-season" and the season itself.

Glad you found your way down the chimney. Yes, that's King O'Malley; our Crown made the crown for him and I haven't changed the photo since I loaded it. He doesn't pose for the camera as much as he used to, but he loved the attention and would act coy or strike a cool or amorous pose. Quite the clown at times.

The feral king will be 15 in January.

Lovemas lives on! Yabba!

I seriously think we need to think of something to do in place of Darlene Love Night. Not that it can be replaced, but you can't replace the time we get to spend here live together.

Here she is performing for the first time and last time on Letterman.

Merry magic for your eyes and ears.

I always thought it would be cool to do something Dec 23 evening here...there's nothing like it. Maybe all of us meet up in chat to talk? Not sure if everyone even has the chat feature...or at least here on the boards and watch a few Christmas shows that we choose to watch simultaneously together and talk about them here.

Happy Last Week of September! Yes, 1 week left until we reach the Big 3. I don't want to think about it yet though. September's speed has picked up it feels in the 2nd half. The warmth continues but today won't be as sweaty as yesterday. A little cooler today and not quite as warm. Have a great Last Week of September!
