Good Morning, my Blossoming Friends!

That word was not used randomly. There was a purpose for it. And as you might guess, the reference is to our annual Christmas Blossoms thread which debued yesterday evening. Check it out and contribute!

Today's info:
Days to the Season: 47
Days to Christmas Day: 89

The 90 percent, Home Stretch marker to Christmas Season 2019? Well, that's now only TEN days ahead.
SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow!
(Can you believe we will soon be entering the last ten percent of the journey to our season of choice??)

It continues warm, but not uncomfortable here in central NC.
The humidity is at tolerable levels and we have had no rain recently. The only real negative is the mosquitoes that are back in near full force.
Our starting temperature for this edition of Weekend Eve is 72 degrees.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Folks!
And a great weekend ahead.
Thanks Crown!! All our rain has woke up the little gnats, you can barely stand it outside if the wind isnt blowing.

Well, it hasn't panned out the way I thought it would. Twice he got it down and four times he didn't and then I felt guilty returning later in the day or after work to find he didn't eat any of his moist food. (He always has dry kibble around for such situations.) I'll try his meds again, but there must be something to the smell or taste that just doesn't fool him.

He doesn't seem to be moving as slowly as he was and he's approaching me constantly for hearty rubs so I'm guessing he's not in as much pain as I thought he was or he wouldn't let me rake his fur the way I do.

Well, I hope he continues to show signs that he is feeling better. Hopefully he comes around with the meds.

Yes you do have to share a few photos so we can share the joys. Bet you had a blast. Tell us more; what were the favourite parts of the exhibits, meals, travel, etc.?

I haven't been there since I was about ten years old. It's so different now.

Oh, I could run on for hours! We only were able to spend a day at each park. Magic Kingdom we did hit a few times, with going back there for the Halloween party and trick-or-treating. The adults even got to partake in that and we came home with 10.4 lbs of candy and I'm talking about good candy! Epcot was probably my favorite park. It's where you visit all the different countries, eating, drinking, and learning about all the different cultures. It was truly amazing. Each country had workers from that country - they had name tags on that stated where they were from and they were actually from that country. They could fluently speak the language. It really made you feel like you were in that country at the time. Animal Kingdom was just beautiful with all the animals too.

My second favorite was probably Magic Kingdom. This holds Cinderella and Belle's (Beauty and Beasts) castles. We ate breakfast at Belle's castle and meet her there. That was very exciting for the kids, as well as me. She was my favorite princess growing up! The parades, scenes, fireworks, rides, and EVERYTHING Disney does is just amazing. @ballcoach is going to LOVE it!

Good morning and Happy Friday!
It’s going to be a nice day with a high of 73, we’re currently at 55 degrees. I’m going to walk Rocky soon. I already tidied up the house and started laundry. I have a chiropractor appointment this morning. I’m going to stop at the butcher afterward to pick up a couple of things. I also have plans to visit my parents this afternoon. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and a great weekend ahead! Can not believe this will be the last weekend of September. This month flew by!
xx

Enjoy the visit with your parents!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

We took Jacob out for dinner last night, since I missed his celebration a couple weeks ago while Mama was in the hospital. He always wants to go to the same Asian restaurant. It's very good food, and reasonably priced, but my goodness! Choose another restaurant sometimes! LOL

Nancy and I are slipping away for a weekend without the kids tomorrow. Is it normal that I feel a little guilty about that? o_O

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Enjoy the time away! You and Nancy need that time together - it's much needed :)

Good morning, Christmas friends! Can't believe today is my last day of vacation and I head back to work tomorrow. That's the only thing about vacation when you're so busy, it goes by so quickly. I've enjoyed it greatly, I just dread going back to work. Penn State plays tonight (which I don't like, neither does DH - we feel Friday night football should be for high school football), anyway, that's what our plans are for tonight. Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll make the whole game. 5:45 am will come around pretty early. I've slept in the last couple of mornings, since we were getting up some mornings as early as 6 am and staying up until one night at 2 am at the park. My butt was dragging!

Sidney (my golden pup) turned 1 while we were away and we still haven't got to celebrate her birthday yet, so I want to try and do that tonight as well, so that's on my agenda for today as well. I needed to get her some gifts and a small pet approved cake. I would also maybe like to swing by the DG and see if they have any new decorations out. Maybe get some pictures for the blossoms thread! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

They were real bad last night just south of Macon.

Don't feel guilty about going away with just the person who has enriched your life so much. Just celebrate the beauty of nature and your blessed life together. If I would hazard a guess, I would say you still are going through empty nest grief. It will pass. New and rewarding adventures are just around the corner. Have a marvelous time away.

My eyes were watering when I noticed it has debuted. Thank you, Crown! 89 days is the perfect time to debut our Blossoming environments!

TGIF!!!! Temps and humidity must think they are on a roller coaster they have been lately. Temps need to cool off and humidity need to go on a never ending vacation. We are going to decorate the outside of the house tonight for Halloween. Already started decorating the inside but I will have to bring the other tote down from the attic so I can finish the inside. Enjoy this final September weekend as Oct is knocking on the door.
