Good Morning, Season Seekers and Christmas Chasers.

Well, the quest has certainly become more interesting as we approach the VERY LAST Milestone marker before the Season begins.

To the numbers:
Days to the Season: 46
Days to Christmas Day: 88

And that VERY LAST marker alluded to above?
Well, that would be the NINETY PERCENT/HOME STRETCH point to Christmas Season 2019!
What's more, it's now only 9 days hence. Already down to SINGLE DIGITS!
(Getting scary, Folks.)

The weather has been quite stable of late. No rain coupled with reduced humidity, but still warmer than usual temperatures for this time of year.
Such condtions are predicted to continue for the next few days, perhaps getting a bit more uncomfortable as we return to the 90's today and tomorrow.
Our present weekend-starting reading is 75 degrees, here.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everybody!
Enjoy the weekend.
Thanks Crown! Have a great weekend.

Hilli-Ho my Merry Chums! +a -santa dance-

Up and at it early. Not really the cats fault, although he tried his best to get me up at 2:00 a.m. and I had a bit of trouble falling back asleep.

To be honest, I'm excited about two different vacations I have coming up and the plans are keeping my mind active when it should be offering up dreams instead.

I have to make my homemade fudge shortly so it will be ready to drop off at 9:00 for the fundraiser for a part-time paramedic who doesn't receive benefits and is battling cancer.

They are calling it a Pumpkin Fest; I don't have any pumpkin flavour for my fudge, but I will be adding salted caramel chips to the chocolate mixture and some dried citrus peel and that should make it feel Fall-ish.

Stay jolly! -surprise-

So great of you to do that!

Merry Saturday MMC!
It’s going to be another beautiful day, sunny with highs near 75 degrees. I’m just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I’m waiting to hear from my oldest, she’s going to text me when she wakes up. Her husband surprised her with a weekend trip to Salem, she always wanted to visit this time of the year. She got to see Boston yesterday and absolutely loved it. I’m going to sneak out of here soon to do some food shopping. Rocky is still in bed with my husband so I’ll walk him when I get back. I also have plans with my youngest this afternoon. We’re going to grab lunch and go shopping. It’s become a routine for us on Saturdays and I really look forward to it. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great weekend!!!
xx

That sounds like a wonderful trip! Hope she enjoys!

Good evening all. Work day here. Just finishing up eating dinner. I’ll shortly be heading to grab a shower and then I’ll be going to bed after that. I didn’t sleep well last night, so I want to make sure I get to bed soon. Hope you’ve all had a great day! Talk to you all tomorrow!

Happy Next to Last Day of September MMC! Wow only 2 days left in the first Bers month of the year. It should be a warm start to October as the first couple days will be well above average. Then we crash...below average late in the week through next weekend. Going to be a real Autumn chill in the air next weekend. Have a great Next to Last Day of September!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 0 (-17) outside this morning. Will warm up to 14 (57) this afternoon.

I still have the windows open a two inches and no heat on yet; finding it a wee bit chilly. I usually don't turn the heat on until after October 1st. I could throw a robe on, but I'm not really that cold, just my arms.

Rough sleep; Christmas, concerts, old neighbours, songs, cat, work, tinnitus and just too much on the brain.

Not much planned for today, going to enjoy my last "feed" of corn on the cobb today. Having it with some diced sweet potatoes and walnuts on the side.

I have some chores to do -defrosting my freezer and a bit of cleaning.

Making rainbow pasta with Rose sauce later to warm up for a few lunches during the week.

Finally found a pair of shoes that fit so I can head back to the fitness centre. It's been too long, I need to get back at it.

I think the fundraising event went well; I also delivered a glass blown lamp with a white/cream shade and blue polka dots near the bottom for their Black Tie affair coming up in a few weeks as an auction item. The paramedic was given six months to live so the fundraising is to help cover the cost of the funeral and medical costs as well as hopefully providing some financial relief to his wife and children. The lamp is valued at $100.00, but I got it for $38.00.

Good chat with my dad last night; texts with the boys and one brother.

Ran into a former co-worker who is still undergoing chemo and radiation treatments. They got the cancer, the rests is precautionary and she'll be finished before Christmas. She looked really good all things considered. She has a caring husband and two young children. We had corresponded via private message on FB a few times, but this is the first time we ran into each other since my husband passed away. She was hugging me for that and I was hugging her for all she's going through.

I didn't spot too much Christmas stuff, but lots of Fall and Halloween things are out.

I picked up two snuggly plush wrap blankets with hoods for each of the granddaughters for Christmas at Giant Tiger; one red and one blue with white reindeer prints. Those will go with their large oil paintings on canvas (horses / dogs), plus two souvenirs from Nova Scotia and a new board game. Too large to ship so I'll have to make a trip which is good because I have two weeks off over the Christmas holidays.

:ornarment Have a super Sunday and stay jolly! :lightman

A Good Morning to Everyone, as we close in on our FINAL pre-Season Milestone marker.
(Getting mighty near that Home Stretch now, Guys!)

Days to the Season: 45
Days to Christmas Day: 87

The 90 percent point. So very close, now. Eight days off. ONE WEEK from tomorrow.
Wowzville!

We have entered one of our weather ruts. Fairly warm days with moderately cool nights. Plenty of sun, no rain, but still a healthy crop of mosquitoes. Could be worse!
The second day installment of our weekend has launched here at 75 sunny and bird call-filled degrees.

Have a Super Sunday, Folks.
And if you have the time and the inclination, put in a good word for the Panthers in today's NFL game against the Texans!

Hmmmmmm opera. Maybe opera. Yabba!
Carl has asked me to ask you to be sure his bestie O'Malley is included.
That camel is just narcissistic enough to automatically assume he would be in it.
(I didn't tell him so, of course. Would have hurt that sweet guy's feelings.)

GM! I didn’t get a chance to log on yesterday...we were out of the house by 8 for an all day softball tournament. I am just enjoying a cup of coffee and I am going to go to the grocery store later. Hope you all have a merry day!

Good Sunday morning! What a beautiful but chilly Fall morning. After our usual errands and chores, I'm hoping we'll go for a drive and see some colours on the foliage. I also received the album I ordered so I can start putting together the scrapbook for our employee who is forced to go back to Chile. Employees have also been collecting money for her, it's wonderful to see how generous everyone has been. On that note, enjoy your day everyone!

Good morning, Christmas friends. What a weekend it has been!

This week has been homecoming at our school. It has been full of events! We won Thursday night 36-0 and our Sr. High team won 58-56. It was such a fun game to watch...but not if you like defense. Our defensive coordinator and I grew up together...he said we didn't lose, but I don't feel like we won, either. LOL. Poor guy.

Yesterday, we had our Cotton Pickin' Jubilee (a community gathering) and Bambina had a birthday party with just our family. It was quite the day!

I say all of that to say this....

I'm wore out. However, do you know what keeps me going today?

I get to put up our Halloween decorations (inflatables) that we get to start turning on this week.
