Stopping in to say hello. Can't seem to stay caught up and I apologize for that! It's been busy here and had an emergency with a close friend. I've been at the hospital several times when I can. DH, the kids, the dogs, and myself are going camping tomorrow evening when I get off work, which I'm looking forward to and need. It will be great relaxation and just some nice time to get away. Hoping to try and read the rest of the post here before bed, but I'm getting sleepy - I had class with two test here at work today!

I hope all goes well for your friend. Enjoy the great outdoors.

Hot temperatures...? We're only reaching 10c/50f tomorrow. It even says we might dip below the freezing mark for the first time since the beginning of May. I really do need more Christmas this weekend.

We're down to 5/11 here and last night after finishing work out of town, I discovered my car battery had died. Didn't even click or try and turn over. It was raining with almost a hint of flurry stuff and I was freezing. I am sure I annoyed the folks at CAA with my two follow-up phone calls. Took two hours before my battery was charged and I was on my way.

Thankfully, I didn't have to have it towed to my mechanic's shop. I'm sure it will be fine now. I don't believe any lights were on so I'm not sure what caused it. Took the guy four tries before it started purring a bit. He apologized and said he was sidetracked to clear a car accident; well on the bright side that wasn't my vehicle's situation. I didn't get home until 7:40 p.m.

I felt so chilled to the bone when I got home that I gobbled down some cereal, berries and yogurt and just chilled on the rocker recliner with my Fall coloured plush throw until it was time for bed.

I caved and turned the heat on; bedroom at 18; living room at 20. I can feel some heat coming so that's how cold it is.

Guess I have to start dressing in layers again. :bundleup

Good Friday morning! Am I ever ready for two days off this weekend. I usually have one day off during the week, as I work alternating weekends, but the fact that I didn't work last Sunday meant a regular work week for me and this week has felt so long. We're getting more Christmas merch each day. I have to take pictures for the blossoms thread. I was also surprised to see that Dollarama has started bringing out their Christmas stock, as they usually wait until mid-October. Have a great day ahead everyone!

+e Merry Elton John concert update +g

My dad's tenant, a family friend, is now taking the extra pair of concert tickets off my hands. Joining her is a lady, who as a toddler, starred along with my brothers and I and her year and a half older sister in a Christmas commercial for my dad's old clothing store. I gave her a great deal because I wasn't trying to reclaim my money, I was trying to create an amazing experience with a few people I can recall the event with down the road. She is such a great neighbour and friend to my parents, especially after my mom's health problems prevented her from gardening, she picked up the tools and got dirty planting and pruning, etc.

One Christmas when we had a merry cocktail gathering after lighting the annual luminaries on Christmas Eve, Maureen arrived at the door looking like she popped out of a 1940's Christmas Cookie ad with a tray full of treats for our guests to sample. Three months after my mom passed away, she lost her mom. I've been giving her a bottle of wine and a Christmas ornament since the second Christmas I met her.

Maureen and Tracy will use the amazing tickets I bought initially until I made the leap to go with the V.I.P. tickets.

The three of us plus my friend (one of the Mangers at work) will have a blast; 19 days until my car rocks with a carpool karaoke featuring Sir Elton John tunes (among others).

Thank goodness I've got my Mojo (name of my car) working.+n

'Tis Friday; enjoy your day and hello weekend.

I have a huge community event tomorrow; I'm on the organizing committee and take photos every year for the Learning Partnership. It's a great morning (8:30-12:30) of free interactive displays and workshops geared to families with young children (roughly 6 and under).

Tomorrow would have been my husband's birthday so I'm hoping that the weather holds true to being mainly sunny so I can go for a drive listening to his favourite tunes from a USB stick that I popped into my car last night after my battery was charged.

My dad doesn't celebrate birthdays anymore, but I picked him up a pair of night driving anti-glare glasses - just because; his birthday is also tomorrow. We used to celebrate them together.

Stay jolly! +k

Happy Friday!! Busy day at work and my daughter has a soccer game today at 4. Tomorrow my husband and I are headed to RI for an overnight for our anniversary. It should be fun, I am looking forward to a nice dinner and relaxing. Hope you all have a great day...fall is in the air!!

Good Morning, Weekend Thresholders!

Yep. Weekend Eve is the threshold of another end-of-the-week oasis for us, the FINAL one before we enter the Home Stretch to Christmas Season 2019!

Today's briefing:
Days to the Season: 40
Days to Christmas Day: 82

And that NINETY PERCENT Home Stretch point?
Well, now. That's only THREE days from now.
UNDER half a week to go!
(Santa, have mercy!)

This kind of heat in October is incredible.
We hit 96 yesterday for the second day in a row and the humidit was up, too. Really felt like we were back in August.
Dry and parched as well. The grass looks like it's suffering.
By the weekend though, it could be a good 20 degrees cooler.
Today has started off here at 73 degrees.

Have a Fabulous Friday and a really nice start to your weekend this afternoon, Friends!

Happy Friday!!! Sounds like it could be a chilly weekend!!! Low of 41 tonight!! It was just in the 90's a couple days ago! Crazy weather!!

I hope you all have a nice weekend planned! :)

Happy Weekend crown!!!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I put my truck in the shop yesterday, to try to remove the foam insulation overspray. The insulation guy rented me a car to drive while my truck is being repaired, and it took forever to get the car rented. Apparently, you don't just walk in and rent a car, you have to reserve one first. LOL We finally found a Toyota Rav4. I already miss my truck.

We're supposed to get a break in the temperature tomorrow. I hope so; it's supposed to hit 100°F today.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Merry Morning, java anyone?
coffeebrewingkitchen.gif

Enjoying my large S mug of medium roast coffee with a hint of cinnamon and table cream.

Went to bed about 9:00 p.m. and thought I could have gone by 7:30, but I forced myself to stay awake longer.

Had a bunch of dreams during the night. The funniest one was getting into a slight fender bender. Got out to examine the damage and realized I could see the ground through the other driver's vehicle. She was driving a larger version of a toy pedal car and as I turned to look at my car, it was a bumper car without the huge pole attached to keep it running. The driver was handing me monopoly money to cover the damage, but there was no damage to my bumper car, but I had my hand out for the money anyway.

That's the kind of nonsense that roams around my head until a song gets stuck.

It was a Tiggerish kind of night, but I kept managing to get back to sleep.

Up at 4:15 thanks to the O'cat alarm.

Have a great day - I see the weekend in sight. +g

Love your dream!+b
