Merry Sunday..just enjoying some coffee and relaxing. My oldest daughter drove to her soccer practice this morning...I was nervous about her driving but she texted me and let me know that she got there ok. I know I have to let her go but it is scary..lol! Not too much planned for today I may go out and get some mums for my front steps.

When I first started driving, my husband would have me call him the minute I parked the car. A few times I forgot and he flew into a panic; then I'd remember and call him. Eventually, he realized I was a good driver and he stopped asking me to report in unless I was going out of town.

I decided to go join the family in Ottawa for Thanksgiving Dinner.

I will check in here over coffee in the morning and then hit the road.

I sent my regrets for a meeting I was supposed to go to on Tuesday morning and I'll get back by dinner.

O'Malley has had two days with me so he won't mind; he'll nap most of it anyway.

Thanksgiving Dinner has been completed. So much turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, ham, steamed vegetables, salad, and more! Perhaps I had a little too much pumpkin pie and apple crisp, too.

It was great, as always, to spend the evening with my in-laws and have many laughs. Of course, I miss my family, but I'm super lucky to have celebrated with them since 2006.

And now, I only have to wait another 74 days until my next big turkey dinner. So excited to countdown to the Season and Big Day from here on in with all of you wonderful people!
Happy Thanksgiving @brent
Sounds like a wonderful time!!!

Merry Sunday MMC ~
Been busy the past few days, haven’t posted much. Just wanted to share the news, we adopted another dog that was in need of a home. She’s a 7 year old Yorkie. She is settling in really well and getting along with Rocky, Bella, Bentley, Sophia & Rosie. Her name is Chloe.

She's a cutie!

Michelle and I have been on vacation this past week and really enjoyed ourselves. We went to a few Fall Festivals and to the Georgia National Fair 4 times. We also completed our shopping for the Christmas shoe boxes.
Seven boxes this year. Love OCC!

Well, the weekend has been good, but not exactly magical.

Sorry that I wasn't around yesterday like usual...but I had work to do. We had an ugly situation on Friday night at the ballgame with kids from both teams acting up. It ended with me walking out on the field and pulling our team off. I can't and won't watch kids act ugly. Our opponent was beating us so bad...tempers were flaring...and kids and adults were acting up.

It is high school sports for crying out loud.

That resulted in several phone call with officials from our state athletic agency. My plans are to suspend our football program for another week....which won't go over well with our community. The kids and parents need to be reminded it is just a game....and we are going to act accordingly.

It was quite embarrassing.

Other than that....I got to have two fires this weekend outside. Great time with coffee and just sitting and hearing the crackling of the fire. It was nice and cool. Already have plans for next Friday night for my family since we won't be playing football. We are going to watch Hocus Pocus outside while we have a fire, roast marshmallows, and have hot dogs. I'm already excited.

Y'all have a great week. See you soon!

Happy Saturday all. Had a rough week, was made redundant at work so now need to find a new job. I’d been there such a long time I’m not sure where to begin. It’s really quite hard having to think about what you’re good at so you can focus efforts when job hunting.
That’s next weeks task, I’m going to try and enjoy the rest of the weekend with the kiddos.
I think we are heading over to see my daughter tomorrow at university. She’s staying about 2 hours from home so not too bad.
It’s late here now, just before 11pm so off to bed, jack (our dog) is looking at me longingly. He tends to follow me up stairs and it’s later than normal today.

Take care all.

I'm sorry to hear this, happy elf. I hope you find a job you love soon!

@AuntieMistletoeDear, I'm glad you had a fun time during your vacation. I wish I had been able to meet up with and your dad at Bronners. Have a fun and safe holiday trip!

@HomemakinGirl, congratulations on your new furry love! She's a cutie!!

Happy Thanksgiving, Brent! Happy to hear you had a nice day!

Aww...I love her! She is adorable and looks like she is right at home! Congrats on your new addition!
Thanks, SFM! If only this happened every weekend!

Wow!

We are less than one month away until we can countdown in realtime to the beginning of the Christmas Season!

We are less than one month away until we user in the Christmas Season and all things become Christmas! Exactly one month from this moment, Kim and I will be at home, unboxing my Christmas decorations, and filling the apartment with Christmas Cheer. Oh, and the music! We can't wait to hear the sweet sounds of Bing, Andy, Ella, Darlene, Stevie, and so many others! In one month, Christmas will, indeed, be everywhere!

Happy Sunday everyone! Another day of football watching with the windows open. A nice day in my book. I slow cooked a brisket today and it made the house smell amazing! Yesterday my husband and I went to my mom's house to meet up with my sister and continue the process of cleaning out my dad's stuff. I still really struggle with it but I know it needs to be done. On a good note though, my mom and I went out to lunch and to a store that I have gone to ever since I was a child. Every year they do an "Easter Bunny Lane" and a "Christmas Lane" where they have a long darkened hallway with beautiful Easter or Christmas displays. I didn't always make it to the Easter one but I don't think I've missed a Christmas one since I was a kid; even though I moved 3 hours away 20 years ago! I always go back for Christmas Lane. They have such pretty trees and scenes set up and then a huge part of the store dedicated to ornaments and lights and decorations to purchase. The best thing is, going through "Christmas Lane" is free; which is rare anymore! It was a nice visit there and I managed to get out of there only spending $12.00 which is a Christmas miracle! I hope everyone has a great day!

Congratulations on your new family member and bless you for giving a home to a homeless dog. :)

That is so beautiful of you and your husband to open up your home to a sixth pet. Blessings to you both.

Awww she is so beautiful! How wonderful and kind of you to offer her a loving home ❤️

Chloe looks like a sweetheart; how wonderful that you have the room for so many furbabies.

She's a cutie!

Glad you're enjoying your vacation.

I haven't seen our shoe boxes out yet, but have picked up a few things to go in them. Last year was my first time stuffing boxes; it took me over two hours to pick out the surprises because I had to create an image in my mind of the joy on the face of the child receiving it. I included some seasonal photos and a festive one.

Once upon a time, my husband came out of the stands to lend support to his sons who were involved in a bit of a brawl on the ice. He had to watch the rest of it from the viewing screen in the arcade; he's lucky he wasn't ejected entirely.

When he acted as a referee at a juvenile game, the security guards had to escort him to his car as fans were upset with a few of his calls and were uttering threats. Good grief! It's just a game.

I thought about you; if I had known for sure we were going there, I would have connected the night before to set something up.

I'll be seeing rain on my trip today in the morning and it should clear up by the time I get to my destination.

Construction still going on in two spots, but the wait time to get through isn't that long.
