Merry Tuesday!

There must have been at least 8 inches of snow piled up in the driveway and I only got a little over half of it shoveled. Also shoveled the road just before the driveway so that the plow doesn't refill the end. Tomorrow is going to be another cold day, so I should be able to finish the other half before the snow gets heavy.

I relaxed by watching a couple of Christmas movies I have never seen before: A Heavenly Christmas, which I absolutely loved; and @prancer, @snowflake22, and @Holiday, The Christmas Card, which is also a keeper.

On my 4th cup of coffee, although in coffee cup terms it is actually my 8th, and I am yawning like crazy already. Going to be a long night! :)

That is our annual countdown to the beginning of what we regard as the start of the "Christmas Season" (November 13).
Those who enjoy this tradition meet here in this thread as we near midnight to count down the final hours and minutes together.

Any significance to November 13?

What Crown says...

“But why November 13?
Well, it just seems about the right time to regard the season as arriving. That date is exactly 6 weeks before Christmas Day and is around the time the public at large is beginning to really get into the holiday spirit. Most of the malls and stores have decorated. And starting the season then gives us exactly 50 days (Nov 13 through Jan 1) to enjoy being "within" the season, giving it a depth that is lacking with just the Christmas Day count by itself.”
