they are for me....i am a nostalgic when it comes to the holidays. I remember seeing an ad in the TV guide showing Rudolph on at a certain time and then gearing up for that airing...it wa like a moment that you waited for all year

It's hard for me to admit how old I am but I am noticing a difference in my Christmas watching...and listening...compared to my millennial children. They will catch me putting on something like Rudolph and tease me about it....

But they think nothing of putting on Spoge Bob Christmas any time of the year

What about Charlie Brown Halloween and Thanksgiving specials? Do you include those in the build up?

Heck, as a kid, one lived for the once-a-year shows---Rankin-Bass Christmas specials, "The Wizard of Oz," Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella."
