Let me start by admitting I made a mistake in my short version when I said our gift to my dad was The Book of Life - Nah - it was Life's 70th Anniversary Edition. Not only was it appropriate because he turned 70 (remember not to tell him I told you if you ever bump into him), over the years we acquired several special editions. Life Goes to the Movies, and a few anniversary editions. For Mother's Day one year, my mom receive Life with Mother and naturally my father receive Life with Father. It so happens that their 60th Anniversary edition got damaged and moldy from a sewage back-up in their basement. (What it was doing down there I cannot say - it belonged on one of their three book shelves. Think his old Pogo books had to bit the world buh-bye too. Sure hope they moved all the old vinyls up to the guest room closet. My mom doesn't usually thank me for my father's birthday gifts (she made a point of saying so), but she thanked me for the book because she'll enjoy it too - especially since the other one was damaged.


Oh, and my husband received a $50.00 gift card for Sears Portrait Studios so we can get our portrait taken - never done that.
Okay - you know why right? My other seldom used username is CameraShyLass and my husband is HidingInAnotherRoomWhenPicturesAreBeingTakenLad.

~ Binger - I can almost write that next Opera for you - but alas, I'll leave it up to you.

I was thinking of going out for Halloween as a Jello-Mold, but JayIsh wants to wear that costume so I think I'll be a Jack-in-the-box instead. Those things used to scare me when I was little. Hmmm. Reminder to self - have a dentist appointment in the morning. Oh well - they'll have to send me to the "big chair, I guess". HaHa.

Thanks for the laugh this morning Auntie! Always a treat...and what WAS that book doing in the basement anyway? I remember finding a dress shirt I gave Dad one Christmas, still wrapped up in pins and tissue paper. Mom told me that "he loved it so much he wanted to save something good to wear in case something happened". What a diplomat, my Mom.

Got a frightening wake-up early this morning by a pack of feral dogs running and howling underneath the window. Talk about scary. It was a full moon too....AhhOOOOOOOOO....Werewolves in Kalamazoo.....AHhhaaOoOOOOOO..I thought about sending BIX out to run with them, you know...add a little culture to the mix..lol.

It's a beautiful rainy day outside. The lakes are re-filling, the birds are drinking, the trees are drinking.......Binger is drinking (well, maybe not water).

60 days to Christmas Day. (Under 2 months, now! Better get going on your shopping!)

A change of plans. The weather at the coast is predicted to be so bad tomorrow, we decided to shelve plans to go over there this weekend. As such, yours truly will be here to do the count after all. (I know everyone is excited, but please try to contain yourselves.)
