Hi Sila! Got your first card? Cool!

Crownster, you would LOVE this Sirius 'Classical Pops Favorite's' station I currently listen to...ALL Christmas..I just heard "Good Swing Wenceslas" by the Boston Pops. Digging it! You would too, I just know!

~Ohhhhhhhhhhhh no Radio, no...no...no!!! LOL!

That song by "The New Christy Minstrels"...the 'Hey Jude/Alantis combo?....SO. SO wrong! The worst song I've ever heard! ~Hey, Thanks for that!

Beanie friend? makes me sound like a soft cuddly thing yiou buy at a gas station.. and the only thing one should buy at a gas station is that deep rich dark java that is sold!

YABBA!

Hey Jay-any word on Gracie joining us? Anyone else remember her from Christmas.Com? I think she and Jay had something going on....

Gracie and I met on one hot, stormy August night...Jingle Bell rock was playing on the juke box in the only joint in town...We danced...cheek to cheek...for hours...replaying the song over and over again...Then we ran into the corn field, our clothes soaked with rain, Bruce Springsteen's "Mansion on the Hill" blaring from the radio of the semi barreling down the interstate that runs along the field...We walked, hand in hand through the puddles that quickly became mud, alive for the very first time in our lives...

Nah...We've never met...Almost once, during the planned Christmas.com meeting at Bronners, but that sort of fizzled...I even bought a plane ticket for it...Oh well...I'll tell her to join us!!!

Of course I remember Gracie! I hope she can stop in and say hi! There are alot of the Christmas.com family members missing...I still miss that place; the first forum I ever joined and stuck with. ~Alot of these people are on other Christmas forums, I'll always remember Christmas.com with the fondest of memories, we had quite the community.

...........wait up........wait for me.................*puff....*pant.......sorry I'm late. My car has very inconveniently and VERY expensively conked out (doesn't it know Christmas is 4 weeks today?!) and I've had to run.

Just wanted to say how fantastic your pictures are, Cedar and I'm totally up for a Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland moment in your barn (the horse can chaperone and hopefully sing harmony!)

Good Morning Christmas Fans!

December is but a few days away, and Christmas is a day closer. I'm starting to really get that 'festive feeling'!

I'm going to a Christmas fayre straight from work this evening. Apparently they have some real reindeer there! I'm taking my camera so will get some pics to post on the photo thread if possible.

Have a great day everyone!

A Hearty Hi Ho Ho Ho!

Maureen!! Here, grab my hand (as the sleigh goes by)...got it? C'mon...you can do it...Good girl!! She's in! Here's a blanket..some hot cider too. We'll take to the woods, then through the field to pick up Crown, Sila and Bing! (Jay is already in the sleigh!) ~Let's GO!!!

Wouldn't that be fun? All of us together having a winter party in the country...kitchen woodstove warming our hands...hot toddies...snowball fights...play "Find out where Crown is sleeping"...sleigh rides, ice skating, tree trimming...huge turkey cooking.
Sorry. I get carried away with my own fantasties.

Hmm.... Binger as the ultimate beanie baby. What an idea! A plush beanie holding a cup of coffee with Maxwell House written on their jersey.
Oh! If only I had the writing talent of our dear friend - I would have an operatic field day!

SEASON DAY 16
Days to Christmas Day: 27 (Less than 4 weeks away!)

Chilly this morning! Was glad I put a sheet over the old Crown Vic's windshield last night as there was frost.
Fifties for a high today. Seasonal.

I hope everyone remembered to watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas" last night. I made a recording of all 3 of the Charlie Brown specials this year so they will always be available, just in case...
Tonight, don't miss the Christmas Tree lighting in Rockefeller center - another annual must see.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday / Happy Hump Day, guys.

Heeheehe

"Binger Baby"!

oooohhhh, the possibilities..the possibilities..wow

...OR..."Binger Beaner Baby"!! Say it fast!

don't blame me, I'm already on my 4th cup this morning...

It's too early in the morning for tougue twisters, Cedar!

Should that not be "Binger Beanie Baby Bumpers"?!

Vinyl & Podcasts

Good Afternoon Christmas Cats & Kittens!

For those who don't venture much past the MMC living room, I would like to remind you of the music room! - http://mymerrychristmas.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=99

I mention it here because there are some audio sources that post Christmas music for a limited time. Check the threads Podsafe Christmas & FaLaLaLaLa Open For Bidness! to find some old lps from your childhood that haven't been re-issued to CD. Captain Kangaroo, Kukla, Fran & Ollie, and even The Six Million Dollar Man are waiting! Don't forget to follow all the links on the sites.

You are warned to have plenty of hard drive space! Once you start, you won't be able to stop! Load up now before "Your Official Holiday Christmas Station" pulls the Yule plug leaving you high, dry, with a tear in your eye!

Now THERE'S a blast from the past!!! I'd completely forgotten about Kukla, Fran and Ollie until you mentioned that. Wow, all those films from other lands..!!!!
