When I see an A frame house like this, (deep in the woods, that has a steep roof that almost extends close the ground level), I see someone living out in a place where they get a lot of snow!!! I mean, just look at the pitch on that roof, whew... there isn't going to be any snow load on that roof, that's for sure!
