I like Halloween...actually I like it a lot but I do not LOVE it like I do Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter! My Birthday is October 13th and I just love love love the Fall and I feel like with the Fall comes Halloween and us being closer to my favorite time of the year! I have 2 young Boys and really like getting them dressed up and taking them around to trick or treat. Also I have a lot of mainly cute (not scary) Halloween decorations for both inside and outside my home. I love picking out and carving pumpkins with my Boys. I also love cooking pumpkin muffins and buying caramel apples. Yum yum! We have a tradition of going over my Mom's for dinner (pizza) on Halloween night and my best friend and her family come over too. Then we take pics of the kids and go trick or treating!

Halloween is gradually increasing its presence in the UK. I like w/c 31st Oct as we also have Bonfire night on 5th Nov - so its a week long celebration and a great opportunity to get together with neighbours.

I don't mind Halloween but in all honesty in the times that we live in it isn't the carefree night for children that it use to be. Some teenagers use it to literally scare and upset people and think its acceptable to call at your house that evening until the late hours. It makes you feel threatened and frightened in your own home.

I live in a nice area and children come from all around knocking on strangers doors. I don't agree with that.

Moan over!

I like halloween, I enjoy walking up and down our street with the kids, I live in a quite-ish area so we dont get too many knocking on our door!! I always have sweets at he ready for those that do come though.

I am not a big Halloween fan, my kids enjoy it though. My favorite holidays are Thanksgiving, and of course Christmas!

I love all the holidays.... there are different ways to embrace them all and find great ways to enjoy......

Amen...I agree with you totally!

Halloween is actually my second favorite holiday next to Christmas and fall is my favorite season. When I was a kid/teenager, I used to love scary movies and I dislike them now, but I am still really into the holiday. I love to decorate and dress up. I think I still like it so much because I have kids and I am able to celebrate it with them. I still like to watch the specials and epsidoes with Mickey Mouse and that kinda thing with my daughter, but anything scary, I'm just not into anymore. I think it's your opinion if you're not into the holiday and that's okay! I truly do love Halloween though and I am getting very excited for the holiday and FALL more than anything! :scarykitty:

I like going to haunted houses, but other than that I don't really care for it.

This is one thing I am soooo scared of and I am 25 years old. I know it is fake and I still want to scream bloody murder everytime I go. A few years back, before my husband and I were married, we went to Ocean City, MD and they have a haunted house roller coaster on the board walk - I wanted to go on it because when I was a small kid, I told my dad I wanted to go on it and he got the tickets and then I chickened out. My husband bought the tickets, I got on and rode it. I screamed and cried the whole entire time. I am ridiculous! I was 21 or so then. Haha :)

Also I have a lot of mainly cute (not scary) Halloween decorations for both inside and outside my home.

I am the same way too! I love to decorate as well, but I decorate with more fall themed things and Halloween things that are country related. I really don't have many things that are scary!
