Up until I was about 18, we always had formal Thanksgiving dinners. We'd spend all day cooking, then before dinner, we'd all get dressed in nice outfits or dresses. Then, after that year, we stopped hosting huge Thanksgiving dinners and would only have like four or five family members there: me, my mom, my sister, maybe my dad (parents are divorced) and an aunt. I have been wearing my stretchy sweat pants for Thanksgiving for the past 7 years! It's great! I prefer it casual.

We usually do casual buffet style with decorated paper plates/napkins. Some people dress up a little but most just do the casual thing, it's a very relaxed evening!

Kind of a mix in between. I usually go to a friend's house and have dinner there.. she does a very casual dinner, but still sets a table. No paper plates or anything. But we don't dress up, just jeans and games :)

Sence we have two small boy's ages 2 and 4 we make what we know they will really injoy last year we made almost like tacos for them and they ate every bite!! So we dont really do any formal ideas, Heck we even use thanksgiving theam paper plates!

We are pretty casual around here, including serving the meal buffet style. I like for everyone to be comfortable, so if that means jeans and t-shirts or even jammies, then so be it. All that matters is that we are all together... and that there is dessert. (:
