Hello to everyone and thank you for this site and allowing my wife, Elaine, and I to join the site.

Like Annie, I am a born again scrooge that for some reason decided to not let all that was wrong in the world let me miss out on the joys of Christmas.

Last year we started decorating and enjoying the season to the point that it has become a part of our daily lives. Elaine is buying blowmolds in July and I'm programming light shows and listening to Christmas music in August.

We are in the process of building our Christmas web site so that we can share what we love with all. Keep in mind we live 15 miles outside of town in the country on a dead end road. The only people that will see our display's are 4 neighbors, Santa and low flying aircraft. But we do it anyway.

Before I completly lose track of what this forum is for, I'll mention that I'm a programmer by trade and a woodworker/holiday decoroator by hobby. Elaine is an accountant, a woodworker (she makes beautiful pen and pencil sets), and a newly recruited holiday decorator.

Welcome, moodytx! Wonderful to have you and the Mrs. here with us. And we're very excited to hear about your web site. Will it be including pictures of your lights? I love that stuff.

There is a huge community of folks online who do the Christmas light thing. I wish I had more time and money for such as I'm sure I could really get into it. We usually string as many lights as we can and then pray for snow to make it look better!

In any event, we welcome you and hope you'll find a Christmas home here with us!

Jeff

Welcome! I'm a woodworker too. It's great to see people here with some of the same interests. Though everyone loves Christmas, it's great to hear some other things every once and a while.

Welcome MoodyTx! You'll fit right in for sure!

Welcome MoodyTX

Make yourself cosy and enjoy the forum. I am new here at this forum, but there's nothing new about my love for Christmas. I am always touched when people join who feel they are reformed - scrooges. It is like watching a child experience their first Christmas.
:) Enjoy it!
