Good Morning Halloween Friends! And first of all, Happy Leon Day to everyone!
It's really starting to get serious now, time wise. With reaching today, we have now gotten past the halfway point on every season / Holiday we love. Halfway point to The Bers? Happened months ago. Halfway to Halloween? Check. Halfway to Thanksgiving? In the books. HALFWAY TO CHRISTMAS: Affirmative.
Like Edge said this morning, we are on the top of the mountain now looking down, and getting ready to start our leisurely slide down into the Holidays now. And that's really what it will feel like. After the halfway to Christmas? We are almost on auto-pilot now. That's why a trip to Hobby Lobby is in my immediate future today / tomorrow. I want to take it all in and celebrate the fact that we are now HALF WAY.
So all of that Christmas excitement has my attention rightfully drawn away for the moment from Halloween. But it's okay. We've got good stuff coming up in July - Another Dark Arts Sunday, JOL Day # 4, and also by that time I think we can just about begin weekly searching for Halloween candy and items in the big box stores! I love the symmetry of the 3 counts today... 128, 98, 68. I noticed some sunflowers blooming on my drive home from work, and along with my pumpkins, I am going to enjoy watching them grow as we get closer to the Bers and Halloween!
Oh yeah! The Bers have joined the countdown!
I'm slowly beginning to see Fall trickle its way into summer. Tiny hints here and there, nothing major, but I really do feel that after the 4th of July we're going to see the floodgates open.
I spotted this maple yogurt at Walmart last night. It's not pumpkin spice, but I'll take it; maple is just as seasonal:

Glad your pumpkins are doing well. With the extreme heat, my pumpkins are looking really sad and even with TLC, not sure they will make it.
Since the Bers encompasses Thanksgiving and Halloween it only makes sense that it's included here also. Great idea @Bradmac & @SolidSnake84!!!

What a special weekend this is. The arrival of "Christmas in July" on QVC. And I know the watch party here on MMC is going to be awesome as well. Can't wait to be here later this evening when the shows officially kick off.
I put up just a few decorations to commemorate reaching the halfway point, as well as to have up for "Christmas in July". It almost feels hard to not get ahead of ourselves now, but seeing as this upcoming weekend is July 4th weekend, which sees us getting into the 50's count on days until the Bers! Wow.
I feel Fall and Halloween pulling at me, guys. I felt it last night while I was putting up the little Christmas Tree outside, and I'm sure it will pull at me more in the coming days / weeks as we get closer and closer to The Bers. I'm happy to share this journey back to the holidays with all of you.

Well, had to go check out that bakery selling the pumpkin spice. I mean I had to support a local business, right? (This is just code for "I'm a total pig hog and needed an excuse to gorge on pumpkin flavored bakery items.") Took a pic for your enjoyment....

Like I mentioned yesterday, I didn't just want to buy something for the sake of it being CIJ, I wanted it to happen organically.
Like Edge said, we are now exactly one week out from July 4th weekend, which will also be at the time we enter into a 50's Count for THE BERS. Wow.
Hot humid weather is back again now, so seeing that 50's count will almost be like telling me to "hang on, we're almost home".

Like I mentioned yesterday, I didn't just want to buy something for the sake of it being CIJ, I wanted it to happen organically.

Love these counts and love that we have a full week until the 4th of July. Two towns have already gone ahead and had their fireworks, I am not sure if that is because the 4th is falling on a Sunday or just to try to attract more attendees by having less competition. We are 17 weeks away from Halloween and that is exciting, but I am going to full on focus on summer and enjoy the celebrations!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! First thing on my mind this morning is that we have reached another MILESTONE DAY. Not in this thread, but oh boy, it's a BIG ONE. Go on over into the Thanksgiving Countdown thread to see what it is. Let me just say I'm happy to have made it to this one. This one is a game changer, folks.
In HERE - We are now within a week of breaking into a 50's count on Days to the Bers, as well as being under 90 Days on the count back to October 1st. It really seems like the milestones are happening faster and faster as we get into the summer.
I made it out to Hobby Lobby on Saturday and was happy to see lots more Christmas & Fall stuff. Still no Christmas Trees, which is sad and a little bizarre for them, not even "My Little Christmas". I'm wondering now if maybe the type of merchandise they sell may vary some between region / location. In my estimation, the store is right now at about 25% of what they normally have Christmas wise, and closer to 40% for Fall.

No trees yet at my Hobby Lobby as well, Snake. They're playing it close to the vest this year. Maybe after the July 4th weekend we'll see a change.
