Halloween 2023 Countdown!

I'm so glad you added more JOL Days. It has been a joy having them in the countdown all year.
Thank you for posting this. I watched it the other night and got a good dose of Halloween vibes.
DAYS TO JOL DAY: 13
DAYS TO THE BERS: 14
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON: 31
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 44
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 74
Good Morning Halloween Friends! Finally it is Friday! And the big number on the counts this morning is that we are just TWO WEEKS from being back home in The Bers. Two. Weeks. Let that sink in for a minute.
The counts look skinny this morning and they continue to wither away as we venture farther into August. The arrival of Saturday will put just 30 Days between us and the "official" start of Halloween Season.
Folks, it's code orange now basically everywhere. I still enjoy seeing Halloween stuff in the store, even though we have had it now for a few weeks. It never gets old. Same thing with seeing Christmas things at Hobby Lobby. I enjoy where we are in the year, even from this point, I basically get another two full months to enjoy Halloween merchandise at "full power", and counting Hobby Lobby and other places, probably 3 1/2 months of Christmas stuff.

The next Code Orange thing I gotta look for is my Joffrey's coffee. I need the Not-So-Scary Pumpkin Blend. HomeGoods is running late this year with getting it out there.
Also going to World Market next week, and will pick up their newest coffee while I'm there.
This has nothing really to do with Halloween, but I consider these to be "Halloween coffees," so I am justified in posting about them here.

The corn around my house is just starting to turn, less vibrant green and starting to get yellow/gold. So many good scares in movies come from cornfields! LOL!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! The Final 30 is now here. Just 30 Days until the "official" start of Halloween Season. I know, I have to say "official" start because I have had the electric Jack O Lanterns going and have had Halloween tunes and scary movies going for the past two weeks here. I believe I will complete my outside fall decorations today.
The big number is not only 30 days to Halloween Season, but we are now UNDER two weeks to go until getting back home in The Bers! How amazing! I feel like while there has been some slogs this year, for the most part this year has moved fast, maybe that is from me getting a new job, who knows, but we got to Fall Preseason quickly, and even that seems like it flying away.
It's 56 degrees outside right now, this morning I think we tied a record for coldest temperature in August, and tonight we might get an all time record, it is supposed to get down to 54. This evening will be an excellent time to burn in the "Bers Firepit".

Summer is going to get hot again as we get closer to September. This coming week is going to be in the 90s. Luckily the extended forecast is showing back to the lower 80s the following week. I am super ready for Fall temperatures!

We don't have a lot of cornfields around us. But the ones we do have have been losing their green color for the past two weeks. Our next sign of Fall in the fields will be the cotton starting to bloom.

I have hit the wall for Summer weather too. This week is in the 90s with Thursday topping out at 102.

You are all talking weather and that is the big news here in Ohio too. We will likely have our hottest week of the summer this week. We will be in the 90s all week with Thursday hitting a nasty 97! I am done, done, done, with the heat!
I did wear my cool Addams Family shirt today in an effort to bring in the Halloween vibe. I am going to listen to Halloween music while I breakdown football film today. It just seems to fit.

Once it is over about 92, it is just plain hot regardless of the temperature reading. But for me there is something psychological about those temps over 100 that makes me silently scream NO.
