Good Morning Halloween Friends! We've now entered Day 2 of theslog last week of December, and all things considered, I am feeling pretty good. I have been immersing myself now in planning and brainstorming for 2023, and I'll tell you, so far it seems to be working. I learned yesterday that there are two "X Files" Christmas Episodes, which I did not know, despite being a huge fan of the show. So I'm thinking those episodes could easily be watched on / around a Jack O Lantern Day, or Rudolph Day..
And, shameless plug time, I encourage anybody who wants a little "extra" to stop over and visit the Offseason Thread. There's some fantastic brainstorming / ideas going on in there right now.
Back to Halloween business, we are fast approaching the 90 day window to Spooky Spring! And just a little over a week out now from that magical 300 Days to Halloween milestone!

I showed pictures of my "Haunted Conservatory" I believe last year, and just this year I picked up an absolutely wicked (no pun intended) scary looking tree that had jack O Lanterns by it. I love B&BW, and I know that's kind of odd for a guy, but I love the wallflowers and am totally addicted to all of the different plugs they have for each season / holiday!
I'm headed to Bed, Bath, and Beyond today to check out their clearance items. If I see any remaining Halloween stuff, I'll be sure to snap some photos (and maybe snap up said items themselves)!

For sure, January has more milestone days and celebrations than you can "shake a stick at," as my dad would say. If you look at Snake's calendar in the Offseason Thread, there's literally something to celebrate every week. And I used to think January was boring.
Only one more countdown in the 300s. When that one is in the 200s, what a wonderful feeling that will be. And Spooky Spring is coming on fast!

Soon, things will be "back to normal" with Crown doing the daily countdown in the main Christmas thread. I know he takes a break every year, but it is always strange to me to not see the daily updates at the end of the year.
You can see that we are now less than a week away from 300 Days to Halloween, it will be our very last countdown in this thread that is at a 300 level. And we won't see 300 level counts again until the 2024 Halloween Countdown thread. And now just a few days away from entering into 90 day territory on the way to Spooky Spring. Holy cow that one is coming soon. Don't believe me on how quick time moved because of the "bonus months" ? Groundhog day, the annual time when all of us hope for an early Spring, is now a mere 35 Days away.

I am happy to report I have felt like the energizer bunny all week, save for a brief, tiny bout of PCB's on Christmas Evening (Which was totally to be expected).
Folks, this weekend is obviously New Year's weekend. And I'm excited about that. New Year's will bring with it the realization that Jack O Lantern Day #1 will be just 30 days away from that point, we will have entered into the 90 day window to Spooky Spring, and we will be just a few days out at that point from crossing our last 300 Day Milestone off the list, which is the "Days to Halloween".
Folks, yesterday was an incredible time of feels, the Offseason Thread is just bustling right now with talk of every MMC special day, and I encourage everyone that might be reading this who hasn't been to that thread yet, to pop on over. It has been amazing.

Indeed! The "bonus months" are wonderful. New Year's Day comes along and we're nearly done in here with any countdown above 300 days. That is fantastic!
