Good Morning Halloween Friends! I survived the 10k yesterday and feel great this morning, just a little stiff, but no soreness or any other pains. My next big run will be the battlefield half marathon in November!

Folks we continue to march towards our next milestone which will be in 17 days when we reach 100 DAYS TO THE BERS. That's going to be a big one and I still think even though we go through this every year, it feels a lot closer than I think it should here in early May.

I'm just continuing to enjoy Fall "Sprouting Up" in Hobby Lobby and figuring really at any day now, we should see the first couple of Christmas items. Those top racks are really starting to fill out with stuff, I'm sure before Memorial Day weekend there will be SOMETHING out. That's what I'm looking forward to now.

Morning Halloween Fans! Moving along here through the first week of May. Enjoying every step of this month. I still feel we're all safe from The Bers until May 24th. But anyway I have some days off this coming week. Time to enjoy a few Halloween shows? Have a great day!
 
I was looking back through the posts, and I think I haven't saw @The_Escalation on here in about two weeks. I hope he and his family are well. I'm probably going to reach out to him if I don't see him on here soon. He is a big part of all of the threads on MMC - I hope everything is OK!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! A fresh new week awaits us. Things are still going in kind of "easy mode" here but we do have milestone days that are creeping up on us. We're about 2 1/2 weeks away now from sort of "officially" beginning to head into Memorial Day weekend. Everyone following this thread both daily and even casually I think by now should know what that weekend begins.

I've touched on it briefly before, but there is no more Easter candy in the store at all. I know Easter was a while ago, but for the first week or so afterwards you could still find some remnants. That means that the next thing that will come out is HALLOWEEN CANDY. Probably pumpkin / Fall seasonal stuff will predate it by a few weeks, so I'm thinking we should see the first lineup of Fall / Seasonal stuff probably by the third week in July. Does it give you the jitters a little bit to imagine that and take stock of the fact that it will be in roughly 2 1/2 months? Cause it does me.

A few years ago Rich posted an amazing list that he had made that showed all of the stores and shops near him, and when they had out each Fall/ Christmas / Halloween thing.

Well, Spooky Spring has come and gone. I'm sad to see it go, but on the other hand, the next time it gets spooky up in here we'll be celebrating the real thing! And by the looks of those numbers we really won't have to wait too long.

As for Halloween candy, time to start placing bets on when CVS breaks their street date this year. :D

Good Morning Halloween friends! Monday is finally over, and now we settle into Tuesday. I always think Tuesday is unique in the weekly lineup. I prefer Wednesdays as you start getting those little magical vibes about the upcoming weekend, it always feels just a tad like the build up to Holiday weekends.

I've been watching "Wednesday" on Netflix. As a fan of the Addams family movies growing up, it plays pretty good homage to the movies, but I also love the set pieces and the scenery. It seems like Nevermore academy is perpetually nestled within Fall scenery. I'm curious to see if a season 2 shows them going through different seasons. Just a thought.

My Tuesday Halloween thought for today has a lot to do with the weather today. It's gloomy outside with showers off and on. Many times in Halloween movies / shows, the "Halloween / Scary" weather is always either depicted as stormy, or you can see characters in light jackets with leaves falling. I prefer the latter, but I always think about Halloween for just a few minutes whenever a rain storm comes through, or we have a day like today where it is gloomy outside.

My Tuesday Halloween thought for today has little to do with Halloween itself, but I wanted to talk about something I saw last night. We had bad weather here all day yesterday, and finally when the rain let up yesterday evening we made a run to Sonic to get shakes and ice cream. It was around 8 pm when we headed home, and although it was mostly dark out, there was a very small band of sky where the sun was still setting. It was blood red. Just very super creepy looking. I imagined that Sauron would just pop up at any moment.

Now, contrasting that sky with our Bers sunsets, Halloween is downright inviting by comparison, but it'd be so cool to have a red sky on Halloween night one year.

Our grocery store usually has the Halloween candy out in Aug. They usually beat everyone around here (Walmart, Walgreeens) sadly we don't have a CVS near us.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! At last it's Wednesday. The day of the week where I start getting excited for Friday and the weekend. Mondays are horrible, Tuesdays can still have that leftover Monday feeling, but Wednesdays seem smooth all around.

What else seems smooth this morning? We are now just TWO WEEKS away from the 100 DAYS TO THE BERS milestone. Holy cow. Jack O Lantern Day #4 is now exactly three weeks away. May is considered one of the "long" months, but can it already be running away from us?

Think those Halloween thoughts today if you get a couple of spare minutes. Like Edge would say, still a couple more stress free weeks this month, but make no mistake everything is changing soon.
