Happy Preseason to the Bers. This technically is actually Halloween preseason too for me. The slow buildup to October is so great. Unfortunately the anticipation really really slows down the month of August for me, but still do enjoy it all.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Wednesday. At long last, weekend vibes will start rolling in later this afternoon. I've enjoyed mentally thinking of a 4 day work week and having Friday be its own special day. I'm kind of borrowing that from our Thanksgiving thread, but it works out in "real life" too!
They've had a Harry Potter marathon on SyFy on Monday and Tuesday in honor of HP's birthday. It was making me think already of when those movies play lots on TV during Halloween time. I put the autumn wreath up on the front door yesterday and changed the wallflower plugs out. I'll do a little more tonight and the rest of this week.
Looking at the counts this morning, the big number is obviously now just being 30 DAYS from The Bers. It's 54 degrees outside right now and you can see your breath. All day yesterday and even last night felt like an Autumn day. August was like flipping a switch so far. The long range forecast for the next two weeks still has overnight lows down in the 50's and 60's, and no day so far gets hotter than 85 degrees. I'll take that kind of weather for as long as I can. Every day that we go on where it isn't in the 90's and horrible, is one day closer to the "true" Fall weather arriving here and sticking around. I'm ready.

Good morning Halloween fans!
It is so nice to be in August, knowing the 'Bers are so close!
I am really hoping to see stores with more and more Fall items very soon. I am so ready for Fall flavors and smells.
My pumpkins are growing nicely. I have several that are turning dark green at the moment and several more that are still small and growing, growing, growing. I may end up with more that I actually need, but I guess that means I will just have to use the extras in some new dishes.
Typically I use one for a pumpkin bread in early October. I need two more for Thanksgiving (1 for bread and 1 for pie) and then 1 for Christmas (pie). However, with some extras my wife will use some for pumpkin pancakes, and I could always make an extra bread or two. I am just so happy they are growing well and I am hoping nothing happens to them. I have not been able to grow my own pumpkins the last couple of years and had to buy them from the local farmers market. Which is not bad, but I just enjoy growing my own.

No pumpkins yet that I can see but the blossoms have come and gone so I am pretty sure the tiny ones are there. It is hailing right now so I hope it doesn't rip the plant leaves too much. Right now I am just very thankful that my gutters are clean and working.
Dude, I'm jealous of your Bing AI Pics. I did a double take on this one and thought it was from one of the movies. I have been able to get it to do some fair pics, but nothing as good as yours. I want to play around with it more this weekend. I did get a couple of good Hogwarts castle pictures, one with Christmas Decorations, and one in Autumn!

It is my new obsession. I play with it all the time, but honestly it's mostly trial and error. There's a fine line between giving it too many details and not enough. Try as I may, AI isn't perfect yet, so I still do end up with many stinkers. Even with this Hogwarts Express picture I had to try 4-5 times to get it right because the train was always shown heading AWAY from the castle, so I had to change my phrasing to "view from behind the train" or something close to that.
Fingers crossed for the pumpkins and especially for you gutters! Hope there isn't any damage.
Coolish day today, we will only reach a high in the low 80s. The weather service just announced that we had the third hottest July on record, but nothing like last year when is was the hottest ever. It is cloudy so it is another day of Bers-like weather.
