Evening Halloween Fans! I hope you all had a good long time off for Thanksgiving. Going back ain't so bad. Folks we're in the CHRISTMAS SEASON. Ahh by the way we talked with my Uncle about Halloween Season 2024 tonight. Yeah only we would do that in late November lol. Happy Halloween!

Happy Monday Halloween Friends! Today begins the long work week again. I won't have any time off again until Christmas. I am looking at the calendar this morning when I get there to see if there is any way I can take some days off again and give myself another five day weekend. It was so fun. If I can't get Christmas I will try for on / around New Year's.

Not only will we welcome December on Friday, but we will also reach our next milestone, that being 150 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN. It's funny imagining the half way point back to Halloween, which is roughly 5 months from now, because Halloween really does feel like it was a long time ago. Seeing everything change over to Christmas, and especially the winter weather arriving, really makes it feel like it was so long ago.

I hope everyone has a great Monday, we are starting our journey towards the weekend again today. And we are all together doing it. Have a great day!

Still have a house down the street that hasn't taken down the Halloween stuff, maybe on December 1?
I counted 3 houses with Halloween decorations still up and lit on my home from church tonight.

@DecemberisComing, winter has arrived here. We had a nice, brisk windstorm which whipped the remaining leaves from the trees for the most part and mixing it with the snow, well, quite a mess, but the snow is beautiful and the house is warm, so all is right with the world. And Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving week and weekend were all marvelous.
It sure has made the Christmas Feels kick in!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Tuesday now, Monday is over. A real "frost on the pumpkin" morning for sure. It's supposed to get down into the low 20's tonight. That's January / February weather for sure. We had a nice Thanksgiving and then the weather tanked.

We are slowly and steadily marching towards our next milestone in this thread, which will be the 150 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN marker, which is coming our way on Saturday! I think that might be the "first" milestone that I reach in this thread where I feel like, things are finally "on their way". I know we have technically been "on our way" since last Halloween ended, but it's nice to see not only the counts show a sense of progress, but to feel that progress as well. Slow and steady wins the race here.

Have a great day, friends! I try and "sneak" in some Halloween thoughts here and there!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! With this weekend being "The weekend before", it sort of mentally really cements that we have left Halloween behind and have entered into Christmas Season. I like playing around with the Bing AI image creator, and it dropped a BANGER this morning, that perfectly sums up how I'm feeling. Check this out:

Today I'm on my way here soon to the world famous Kris Kringle holiday bazaar, that is stopping in Hagerstown, MD this weekend. It's nearly Christmas Time every where!

Have a great day, friends!
Holy cow, I’m just now seeing this. How wonderful!

It dawned on me this morning that I haven’t been in the Halloween thread since November 17th. What is wrong with me? I usually check in every day.

Don’t get me wrong; I’m head over heels for the Christmas season right now, but I “feel” the loss of Halloween and Thanksgiving both so much more intensely this year that I can’t wait to bring a little spooky flavor back into my life during the Offseason.

It's coming. I was actually daydreaming just the other day about JOL Day #1. I'm like you - I'm 100% in the Christmas Season right now.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's finally Wednesday. Everyone in this thread and maybe all across MMC knows how much I love Wednesdays. It's the day of the week where I feel like thoughts and daydreams of the weekend start rolling in. It's good to feel them when they come!

Marching right along in our countdowns, we stand exactly one week away from the 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone, and as of today are just THREE(!) days from the 150 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN milestone that will be here on Saturday. It's pretty amazing to me how time moves, even though it might feel "fast" or "slow", it moves just the same. In eight days from today there will be only ONE count left that is in the 300's. We started off the new thread with THREE of the main counts at 300+ days.

And since tomorrow is the very end of November, I'd like to do the November wrap up / recap today, tomorrow will be devoted to our December Preview.

November to a Halloween/October fanatic might be a tough month. It was the month that started off with us saying goodbye to Halloween and October. The very beginning of November takes a few days that I call the "Halloween Afterglow" that sees decorations and Halloween lights slowly come down. But then most of us got excited to begin Christmas Season, and I don't know anyone on this site who doesn't like Thanksgiving time. But now that is here and gone, and we look towards December, which we will preview tomorrow. So how was your November?

Have a great day, friends!

I cannot believe that November is over after tomorrow. I was talking to my grandson this afternoon and he said that while there are more and better Christmas decorations, Halloween decorations are just more fun. Pretty profound I think.

WEEKS TO OCTOBER: 43
WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN: 48

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to Thursday! It's Thursday and that means we update our weekly counts. 43 weeks until we welcome October again, and 48 weeks until next Halloween. Numbers are funny, aren't they? 43 weeks seems so much "smaller" than 48 weeks, even though only a few weeks separate them.

The Jack O Lantern Day count is whittling down and almost into the 50's, and our next big milestone in this thread will happen on Saturday when we celebrate reaching only 150 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN.

I've been having a good time in November and I am glad that the counts are moving slowly because if they went by fast that means that Christmas season goes by fast and there is NO ONE on this site (That I am aware of, at least) who wishes away Christmas time.

Today is the last day of the month so here's our quick next month preview.

DECEMBER: December - the final month on the calendar page. The month that all of us love and the reason that MMC exists and I'm sure the reason why most of us joined here. December has all of wonderful, beautiful Christmas Season. We will see our "Days to October" count break into the 200's !, as well as "breaking the seal" on the 100 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING. That's incredible. And even when Christmas passes, a lot of us here will then head over to the awesome "Offseason Thread" where many of us participate in what we like to call the offseason planning session. It's a fun time for all.

Have a great day!

This is what gets me through the winter. As far as I’m concerned, once January hits, it’s spooky time again. That first JOL Day will be bliss. In fact, you could say that Halloween is what propels me through the entire first half of the year, with Spooky Spring and all.
