Halloween 2024 Countdown!

Happy Halfoween! I can’t believe this is the finale of Spooky Spring. 
Where did the time go? At least it’s sunny outside today. I think our pumpkin egg hunt can go ahead as anticipated.
On the upside, now we get to anticipate the real thing! Another six months to go!
I have a lot of Halloween thoughts swirling around in my head. I need to get organized and start planning for this year.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Some PFHB's this morning as I realize that the electric Jack O Lanterns have to come down today and I also have to change the colors on the all year tree. It's okay, If I didn't feel like this, it would mean that last month was not special. I feel this morning the same way I do after Halloween is over every year. Its a brief period of Halloween "afterglow", usually spent reminiscing and looking to the future, before we get swallowed up by Christmas Season and the amazing build that we still have to go through.
There's no Christmas season to swallow us up this morning, but there is May now, and with the arrival of May, we have all kinds of things to look forward to, mainly "The Road" opening up here towards the end of the month. We will also see 100 Days to The Bers as well, that's going to be huge.
My Halloween thought Wednesday today actually has to do with Christmas in a way.
Believe it or not, Right behind Christmas, Halloween is the second most commercial holiday in the US: Americans spend about $6.9 billion on Halloween – most of it for candy, costumes and parties. A surprisingly big chunk is also invested in Halloween costumes for pets.
I was surprised to learn that fact. I am surprised Thanksgiving is not behind Christmas, because I would figure people would spend more on big dinners, turkeys, wine, etc. But there you have it. In the retail world, Halloween is # 2.

I totally believe this. You'll see a lot more Halloween commercials than Thanksgiving on TV. And a lot more movies too.

Tomorrow will mark only 90 Days until FALL PRESEASON! I know we don't technically count that day as a milestone day, but there is a great feeling to know that 90 days is all that separates us from the gentle, gradual return of all things Autumn.
Our next proper milestone will be on Saturday, when we hit 150 DAYS TO OCTOBER.
I think the phrase for May should be "keep your eyes on the road", and it is indeed true! I can't wait to head down that road back to The Bers!

I always get “spooky sad” after an extended season like Spooky Spring or Halloween ends, kind of like getting the PCBs after Christmas. Thankfully it’s only temporary, and it won’t be long before we get to indulge in the spooky all over again.

I went by Hobby Lobby last night, Fall has exploded in there now, as well as there being a very healthy assortment of Christmas items on the shelves. There's lots of both in there, and I can't wait to see it continue to grow over the next few weeks.
I look forward to sharing the pictures over in the Bers thread and the main Christmas Countdown.

90 days until Fall Preseason. Folks, that is THREE MONTHS. Which means we conceivably could be seeing Halloween and Fall merchandise start appearing in as little as 75 days. GET HYPED!

Woke up this morning to the feel of early Fall. It is cloudy, light rain, and coolish.
It is hard to believe how quickly we are working through the countdown. Having this countdown along with the Christmas countdown really make the time seem manageable.
