Mornin Halloween friends! I almost forgot to post this morning! I was up in the attic replacing the motor on my attic fan and time got away from me!
I made a fantastic find yesterday at Hobby Lobby and I can’t wait to share it with you later today. I’m posting from my phone waiting for church to start!
Let me just say, it perfectly sums up my mentality of the holidays and I think it might be the first seasonal item that I feel like truly represents ME.

Fellow spooks, I do not know what is going on this year, but retailers are really getting into the Halfoween hype, and I. am. here. for. it. Kirkland's is the latest to start advertising Halloween decor, as yesterday my wife showed me an ad that popped up in her Instagram feed. I wish I had asked her to take a screenshot. Nonetheless, I went looking for the ad again this morning, and found one of the items that was featured:
That "trending in the media" tag indicates to me that my wife isn't the only one seeing these Halloween ads, so I'm genuinely thrilled that Halfoween is becoming a thing across the rest of the country.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's 44 degrees outside and it positively feels like an October morning. I love these chilly morning and evenings. It's my hope that I get to have "one more" evening where I can run the pellet stove, I might "cheat" and drink a hot cider or burn a Fall candle because we all know that SweatFest is out there and the next time that we will truly be looking at a run of cold nights, etc., will be late August. I watch the forecast each new week, we don't hit 80 for the next 10 days but I know it's just a matter of time before they are back "for good". Those are the days that I daydream about Autumn the most!
You can see from our counts above that when Friday rolls around, we will then be only TWO weeks away from JOL Day #4. The Fall Pre-Season count is looking great and we are on the doorstep today of entering into the 70's on that one. Just to jump ahead a little bit, how awesome will it feel when that count gets into the 50's? We will also enter into single digits this week on our way down to 100 DAYS TO THE BERS, and that will happen on Wednesday, which I think is awesome because I love Wednesdays so much.
You know the counts that I kind of want to go slow? Our "final three", which are the Days to Halloween Season, Days to October, and Days to Halloween. Because I don't think ANYBODY wants to rush those counts because that means that October and Halloween season are going by. So I will say that I will try and keep those as in front of me as far as possible!
And now my big "reveal". I plan on sharing this on The Bers page too. I found this little guy at Hobby Lobby on Saturday! I have plenty of small Christmas trees and my fair share of Autumn decorations, but I think this one perfectly gets the Christmas Spirit as well as Fall wrapped up in one. I like this one even better than my candy corn tree which I put out in the Fall as well! If I had to be a decoration, I think this is the one I would pick! Have a great day, friends!

Love this tree! Once my Hobby Lobby catches up to yours, I’m going to see if I can find one of these for myself. I think I’d keep it on my work desk year-round just so that I could look at it and get a dose of the Feels whenever I needed it.

Was flipping through the channels on TV yesterday when I stumbled across a popular movie from the early 80s! Poltergeist! Yup I watched it, mix that with the chilly damp day we had yesterday, and I most definitely had the fall/halloween vibes going on.
I will have to say the some of the visual and special effects were really good while others were pretty cheesy LOL

Happy Wednesday, Halloween Friends! Everyone in this thread knows how much I like Wednesdays. We're on to single digits now on the way down to The Bers. That makes me happy this morning. We are also going to see only two weeks to JOL Day on Friday, which is great because I started longing for a JOL Day just a few days after Spooky Spring ended, that's how special it was.
Everyone knows I love Spooky Season because of the 24/7 scary movies that play on TV, but my Halloween Fact Wednesday today has to do with the highest grossing horror movies of all time!
I have saw every movie on this list but believe it or not, only "The Exorcist" is in my spooky film lineup each year for Spooky Spring. Perhaps I need to put these other ones on there for next year!
