Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Tuesday! We march right along in Fall Pre-Season and continue to crawl towards the weekend. A wise man once said that the weekends always feel like mini Holidays.
We are gearing up for the first major hurricane that will affect us up here in NoVA - Hurricane Debby. We are expecting anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of rain, but with as dry as it is, we should be able to absorb all that with no problem and not have any flooding. And cooler temps arrive tomorrow, so it might be a pretty fine weekend to just stay inside and possibly watch some Spooky Season movies on TV? I wanted to start that the third weekend of August, but it might organically happen sooner because of the weather conditions.

Hello Halloween Fans!
Wow is it hot and humid today!!! It is downright nasty outside. Storms might move in this evening and we are cooling down tomorrow. I am done with this oppressive heat. I need Fall weather!
I need to mow the grass, but it is going to wait until after football practice this evening. And that is if it is not storming. I like mowing the grass in August because I put on the headphones and listen to Halloween music!

Same ... its been brutal with the heat and humidity. I am so over it!!! Dreaming of Fall weather!
It is 65 degrees right now and breezy, after the heat and humidity we have been having I feel like a brand new person-- a better person with dreams of The Bers and the holidays ahead!
Ohhhh, I am so jealous!
Did not get to mow the grass this evening. After I got home from football practice it started raining and a little storm. So, I will mow tomorrow. The good news is that it will only be in the 70s tomorrow.
I believe the 70s would be perfect.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's finally Wednesday again! And everybody on here should know how much I love Wednesdays. There's a spooky / weird feel in the air as Hurricane Debby approaches. It's gloomy outside and cool - in the 60's right now. And the "rain smell" is abundant. It rained pretty good last night as just a "normal" rain and not associated with the hurricane.
Looking at our counts this morning, double nickels to October jumps right out at me. Tomorrow we're going to enter into the 30's (!!!) on our Days to Halloween Season! I've tried to keep those counts out ahead as me as far as I can.
I wanted to report in that most of our stores around here now have Halloween candy - I was at the CVS pharmacy last night and was happy to see it there! Just waiting for Wal-Mart to put out their Halloween stuff as I am wondering now that school is back in, will I see the beginning of Halloween there this weekend!
I hope everyone has a great day! And for those who are in the path of the storm, I hope you are all safe. We are supposed to get nothing here except heavy rain - some models have us receiving anywhere from 3 to 5 inches of rain by Sunday morning! So the worst case scenario here is flash flooding / basement flooding, etc..

Praying that y'all are safe and out of harm's way. Hurricanes are no joke. I get anxiety attacks whenever one gets too close down here.

We've gotten about .75 inches since it started. We still are in line for about 3 more inches by tomorrow evening, then mercifully, it's out of here by Friday night. I think it's been so dry here that we are going to take it all up like a sponge. Some low-lying areas might see flash flooding, but I think we will get through without any trouble. And the good news is, we will be out of the drought by the weekend.
We're in the 30's now on days to Halloween Season! And it's Halloween like spooky weather out there with the rain and the lightning. Our next major milestone in here will be on Monday when we hit 50 DAYS TO OCTOBER. I can hardly believe it!
