Halloween 2024 Countdown!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Everything looks better when Monday is behind you. We continue our march towards the weekend, our beloved mini-holidays, still safely in the comfort of Fall Preseason, but THE BERS are getting close.
With 50 Days to October behind us now, there is only one milestone remaining, that being the Final 50 to Halloween. Thankfully that is almost one month from now. It's strange, I want it to be Halloween but I'm trying not to rush the counts because if I do, that means Fall & Halloween will blow by and I'm afraid Thanksgiving and Christmas might go just as fast, and NOBODY on this site wants that.
I've been out and about searching for Halloween items in the stores, and oddly enough Walmart is the only place around here that seems to be "behind". I've found Halloween at CVS, Martin's, Costco, and Lowes / Home Depot. I figured it would be last weekend since "back to school" around here is over now that school is in session everywhere. Maybe this weekend will finally reward me with sightings in Walmart. It's been fun checking, though!

Both Walmart and Target are really slacking this year. Both stores have candy corn, but that's about it so far. I guess once they clear out their Back to School stuff we'll see more Halloween at that point. Shouldn't be long now.
In other news, I have been driving all over town trying to find the new KitKat Ghost Toast. Early reviews sound very promising, but unfortunately no stores around here have it in stock. I'll have to broaden my search this weekend.
Walmart does seem to be running behind. It is the middle of August and I haven't seen anything either.
Our schools started two weeks ago and the Back to School aisles are just about wiped out. I think it's time. Let's go Walmart and Target!
It's an 8 foot animated Skeleton! Heck ya! A new addition to the Halloween decor! Awsome Birthday day gift. I can't believe my wife was ok with it. Lol. Now I am extra excited for Spooky Season!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's finally Wednesday! The magical turning point of the week where weekend vibes start slowly rolling in and we can see our beloved mini holiday on the horizon.
Looking at our "weeks" counts up above sort of makes you want to do a double take. Only 6 weeks until October? Say it isn't so! Fortunately we still have 11 full weeks until Halloween.
We continue to enjoy real Fall-like temperatures this week. It's 59 degrees outside right now, and we don't have a day this week that gets higher than 82 degrees. Plus the cool nights and warm days are making the grass grow back! Against all odds, it will be thick and green this weekend when I mow again for the first time since July 5th!
I still hope to see Halloween stuff out at Walmart this weekend - our only retailer locally who has not "switched over". Have a great day!

By Friday, Halloween Season will be just a mere month away. How exciting is that??? I haven't even started working on my Halloween playlist yet for this year. This is great inspiration for me to get started.

Can anyone recommend any good Halloween podcasts? I like ones that talk about the actual season as opposed to just reviewing horror movies.

Saturday will mark only TWO WEEKS until JOL Day # 7. Also on that day, we will begin the last 30 DAYS until Halloween Season.
This Sunday, prepare to buckle up as we can all say that it will be only TWO WEEKS from that point until we are back HOME in The Bers. Time has gone by fast this last week, and checking these counts every morning now is honestly kind of scary.
I'm loving this weather, we might have one more hot flare up, but you can tell with these cool nights that Autumn is not far away. And I don't know who needs to hear this, but in about 6 weeks, the sun will be setting at 7 pm!
