DAYS TO THE BERS: 14

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We wake up this morning only TWO WEEKS away from arriving back HOME in THE BERS! I don't know if there is anything more exciting.
And we're under 30 days now until Halloween Season! Only our "October Counts" - Days to October and Days to Halloween still feel beefy. But we're going to enter a 30's count on Days to October on Friday!
Folks the hot weather looks like it makes a return this coming weekend, we have 89 and 90, respectively. I always knew that we probably had a risk of having one last blast of hot weather. But it's so short lived now. Our nights are getting cool, same as our mornings. And the heat now feels like those "Bers Days" where the heat gets hot but you still might need a hoodie early in the morning or of an evening. It isn't that oppressive horrible heat!

I agree, there are very few things I am willing to pay full price for.
A big rain storm just went through. Almost an inch. Unbelievably, they still have our country under a level 2 drought, despite us getting almost 8 inches of rain last week, and closing in now on 30 inches for the year so far!
The storm is gone now, and it feels positively like a classic fall evening! Especially now that all the decorations are out!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! I don't know about anybody else, but I'm really loving the new "theme" here on MMC. The boards just look so eloquent and fancy!
Folks - we're UNDER TWO WEEKS until THE BERS. I do not want to feel like panicking, this is more of a "happy panicking", maybe more akin to a deep, deep yearning. I've distinctly had three batches of "feels" like this so far this year, the first was late winter right before we began the "Month of Hope" and started gearing up for Spooky Spring. The second was when we were in the middle of the two week heatwave. And now, the third, as I realize just how close we are.
We're going to see single digits this week in both the JOL Day count, and Days to The Bers. It still blows my mind that we are that close and we are within two weeks of having another countdown gone until we get well into the 2025 Halloween Thread. Wowsers.
Still no Halloween anything at Walmart yet. I've seen Halloween candy and Halloween items everywhere else that I travel. Wondering if they are waiting for September 1st, but this is for sure the latest that I have ever saw Walmart on Halloween stuff.

So many Halloween happenings this past weekend.
First, I finally found the KitKat "Ghost Toast" at Kroger! How is it? Well, it's definitely the best of the new Fall candies that I've tried so far. The wafers are very much like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal in KitKat form. The "chocolate" coating (which is a shade of orange on this bar) tastes a bit like french toast. And the entire bar has a syrupy sweetness. The flavor gets an 8/10.
That being said, there is one major thing working against this variety of KitKat: It's just too darn sweet, at least for my taste buds. It tastes like it has three times the sugar of a regular KitKat. After finishing mine, I had to think really hard about if I'd buy this again, and the answer is yes, I would, but I'd only eat half of the bar at a time and save the other half for another day.
Also, I can hardly believe I'm typing this, but someone in our neighborhood has started decorating for Halloween already! As we were driving home on Saturday night, we passed by a house who already had their 8' skeleton up in their yard! It brought me much joy to see it and reminded me yet again just how close we are to our favorite time of the year.

I agree -- they are not worth it. They really dropped the ball on this flavor.I stopped by CB and grabbed a bag of Pumpkin Pie M&M's. $8
and totally not worth it. All I taste is chocolate. So disappointed. But you don't know until you try.
Which theme are you using?
And just think, next Monday we'll be under a week. Mondays aren't so bad right now.

I had the "new" Tannebaum after the upgrades, then I switched the the Autumn one this morning. I had no idea a Thanksgiving one even existed until @The_Escalation posted about it, and I knew about the Halloween bats but never knew it had its own theme. I can't wait to see them when they are finished and ready!
I'm using Dark Christmas Night and like it a lot.

Happy Tuesday Folks! FINALLY Monday is behind us. It is just gorgeous weather outside. 58 degrees right now. The amazing bright moon last night really made it feel like Halloween Season, especially with the wind that would pick up here and there.
We're closing in on single digits now in the Jack O Lantern Day Count, and our "Bers" count will hit single digits on Friday!! As excited as I am, I'm almost not ready! I'm going to have to get ready because also on Friday we begin a 30's count on the Days to October count. Stuff is looking pretty skinny in here especially since we are going to lose another count within two weeks.
