:scarykitty:Did you buy your HalloweenCandy yet? if so, what are you giving out? We bought our candy today at BJ's. We get lots of kids, so the larger bags of candy work out better for us. We bought a Hershey assortment which has hershey bars, peanut butter cups, kit kats and whoppers. The other bag is a skittle fun candy assortment that has skittles, lifesavers, gummy bears, and licorce rings.

I bought a huge bag of Reese's Peanut Butter cups, Snickers, Sixlets (I love them!), Hershey mix, and Smarties =] [emoji515][emoji516]

Won't purchase it until later in the month. If it is in the house right now, it won't be around for Halloween. Candy is not safe around here for very long.

Will purchase later on this month or mummy may sneak a few pieces, lol. I usually get three big bags, - a bag of Hershey's assorted chocolate, a bag of some chewy fruity candy like Startburst, Skittles, Laffy Taffy and another of some wacky kind that my 9 yr old tells me that's what all the cool kids are eating at school.

You said it for me! If we buy it early, we nibble on it. If we buy it later, we never have enough trick-or-treaters to take it all away.

Maybe we should try the old strategy of buying candy you don't like at Halloween to hand out when the doorbell rings.

I am like some of you mentioned, if I buy too early it will be gone before Halloween. I will keep saying, "Oh, just one more". Ha ha!

Note to self: Never keep miniature Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in the house, not even buying those on the day itself. I will have to turn the light off and pretend I am not home because I will eat them all up before the Trick or Treaters arrive!

I really don't know what we will buy yet. Changes every year.

Miniature/snack size candy bars and such are calorie and fat-free, right? They're too small to be unhealthy. That's what I choose to believe... until I step on the scale.

Yeah less than three bites and it doesn't count. That's what I believe .

Like many of you I will get the candy in a little closer to the time, maybe a week before. Otherwise it will just be eaten!

I am not sure what I am getting yet , I really wanted to have something different for the children rather than the same as what they will be getting from everyone else.

I am thinking maybe little cupcakes or candy apples or cookies.

I also feel a bit guilty and was wondering if there are healthy options I can fool them into. LOL!

W will see ...

I typically start buying my soon - I usually buy big bags of assorted Hershey's mixes and Mars mixes. We get a fair amount of kids, but not a ton - less than 50 I would estimate. We have a nice neighborhood - people give out full sized candy bars, chips, pretzels, cookies, soda, fruit juices, and little light up toys to wear around the neck to protect the kids, while they're out(one gentlemen does this every year!), so our kids have a very nice trick-or-treat. I've thought about changing to chips or pretzels this year, but I guess I'll see what the mood strikes me. Since we take our kids trick-or-treating, we just leave ours on the porch.

We have 10 bags of snack size candy bars so far: Reese's pb cups, kit-Kats, Hershey bars, mounds and almond joy. I still want to get some twix and m&ms.

I'm gonna come and Trick or Treat at your house...

door to door halloween goers are getting less and less every year here. We have several organizations promoting keeping kids of the streets. They hold big events where the kids can go and enjoy a caravel atmosphere and leave with a nice goody bag. We donate to those.

We haven't bought our candy yet. Most likely will next week. We are hosting a German Student soon so would like to take her out candy shopping with us. They Don't celebrate Halloween like we do. It should be fun.

The only downfall is that my daughter's High School has a game that night so we may have to pass the candy giving out to our neighbors this year for us.

We haven't bought ours yet. Hubby and I tend to get into the bags and eat half of it, so I always wait till the last minute to buy it.

If the weather is nice then we will get well over 100 kids so I like to be stocked up just in case.

That's a lot of kids!
