• Operation Christmas Cheer
We used to give out packages of Koolaid to our Halloween visitors and for those we knew well, we'd toss in a Wagon Wheel or some caramels. My parents switched to other treats after the price of Koolaid skyrocketed. We don't get any trick or treaters at our place, we're on a dead end street.

That's a really cute idea!

One of the neighbourhood kids growing up, celebrated her birthday on Halloween, Candy apples, tacos and trick-or-treating provided some lasting memories. We told horror stories too and I won a prize for mine for being the eeriest. It was on a Friday so we stayed up until midnight and five of us slept over at her place. Her uncle gave us all a good scare about an hour before we were supposed to turn the TV off and quiet down. He snuck up to the basement window wearing a spooky life-like old man mask from the Joke Shop and was making scratching noises on the window. We all screamed.

That would have been such a great birthday party and great memories!

We will probably start putting up the inside Halloween decorations today after the football game. My six year old LOVES to decorate for Halloween and Christmas. He has been bugging my wife and wife about decorating since we went to the Halloween stores last weekend.
