When I was younger, I enjoyed the series HR Puffnstuff and back in the early 90's I used to use the witch's voice for my answering machine message throughout October.

This show spooked the bejeepers out of me. Still does, kinda. I have no problem with snakes, spiders, and other creepy crawlies; I go out of my way to save them when I can. But clowns and puppets and ill-tuned ice cream trucks? Noooo thank you!

This reminds me of the book, "The Dark Is Rising," by Susan Cooper. That's one of the first books I remember our teacher reading to us in 5th grade, during our "lit period." That class and teacher was a game changer for me.
That's wonderful!

My Great Books class did that for me.

Me too! I love hitting Michael's or Hobby Lobby during the holidays to see displays like this. I always want to set up my own--but I'm too daunted to start. So I live vicariously thought craft shop displays. :)
I do my own, it's a lot of work! ;)
But so rewarding too! The John Deere one above I started collecting last year.
I enjoy browsing at them, too. Once in awhile I get inspired by a new idea, for displaying it.
