It is good to return to the world of Christmas Celebration. Lack of creativity and new community - I lost the spirit. I was once co-owners of a crafting business called "P.S. Happy Holidays". My friend and I spent a lot of time, money and hours creating inventory for the flurry of holiday craft shows every fall in Indiana. I loved every minute of it.
I've aged since then and have turned to writing instead. I now produce articles for Associated Content. Last Friday I wrote an article entitled "Christmas is NOT Just for Christians" in rebuttal to the opposing view that non-believers were diminishing the value of the holiday. I'd like to invite your readership and comments at http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/94647/christmas_is_not_just_for_christians.html
Please don't consider this to be SPAM. I am making no money from my article. I put it out there because it was a message badly needed. I hope that you can enjoy.
I'll be back to share other stories, if they are welcome. I am tearfully considering an article about the church that filled our empty cupboards and filled our empty tree many years ago on Christmas Eve. It occurs to me that we all give to charity - cans and boxes of food and such - and seldom hear what happens next. My story will have to count as my return to say Thank You to the people that cold, Indiana night.
Well - that's way too much for an introduction. I hope to be prompted to spread the cheer of Christmas by your remarks and musings.
Thanks,
