My name is Kim and I've loved Christmas all my life.
In 2015, I was working as a college professor (27 years) and was really thrown a curve ball. I was diagnosed with ALS and had to end my career three years early. Fortunately, my progression has been very slow and I can still walk, eat, and drive.
I don't have family (except an 82-year old brother) so I had to move to a larger place so I could accommodate a caregiver. A long-time friend wanted to move to DB Shores so we both sold our homes and moved in together. We both had to part with many of our belongings. I had no idea how long I'd be on this earth, so I gave all my Christmas decorations to a close friend. I kept my nativity and it is quite large.
I just love seeing all the places decorated and the smells of Christmas.
I was born and raised in the Adirondacks so I've experienced the joy of the snow on Christmas Eve. It's magical.

welcome KimB im also in Florida...lived all over Florida..will never leave here..I love it forever..the day re arrived it was with new eyes i saw the world..haha and said im home and ill never leave...im from kentucky so yes ive been in the snow as well....welcome here..
