Hello from London!

Hi everybody and (a belated alternatively very early) Merry Christmas!

I found this forum through posting a thread about my christmas obsession in another non-Christmas related forum and been advised to check this place out. From the looks of it, I have finally found a place with like-minded people!

Short info about myself: I'm 30, an investment banker living in London who is somewhat of a secret sucker for Christmas. Listening to Christmas music on my iPod while commuting to work in July on the tube and so on.

Well, looking forward to lots of interesting discussions and a year-long absorption in that Christmas feeling I keep chasing from my younger years.

Hello and welcome. I too listen to Christmas music at all times throughout the year and it really bugs some people. It's ok to let it out here though!

i too am from england (the north) i LOVE london and visit as often as i can, oxford street is beautiful at christmas cheesy

Argh! Oxford street is one of my two least favourite streets in London! Too many tourists!

Prefer to stay around where I live - but to be honest I'm rather jealous of anyone up north.... greater chance of snow!

Just sent the last of my dinner guests home from a great big dinner party I arranged... you have no idea how much I wanted to put on some Christmas music

... but I had to behave!

i hope you don't mind me asking but are you from west, east, south, north london????

i particularly love primrose hill, notting hill, bayswater, belgravia and mayfair! if i could live in any of those areas, i would go in a heartbeat!

I actually live in Chelsea, very close to Belgravia. You do seem to know London rather well. Spent much time here?
