Hello, my name is John and I'm from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I first started getting back into the season about middle of May when I was going through a closet and found a pile of Christmas cards at the top shelf and when I went to go reach for them well they came tumbling down and hitting me repeatedly on the head and I knew that was a sign. I've always liked Christmas no matter what time of the year but that event made me realize it was coming in fast and to be ready! My plans this year is to start planning light arrangements after Halloween put them up the week of Thanksgiving along with the inside decorations of course then turn them on the day of Thanksgiving so my friends and family can see the festive lights. Other than the light and decoration arrangements I'm still in the planning stages and hoping to start making a list of what to get for friends and family. Also what to cook every weekend for the parties and gatherings that my family has every year and what to bring to other peoples houses when invited of course.

Other than that I'm glad I found this site and I hope to get to know you all better as the season steadily approaches.

Thanks and God Bless,

John

:tree:Welcome John, and thank heavens for the (full) closets....

I have the ideas but I have to do the decorating myself as my spouse isn't a Christmas person (yet). He's learning to be (again). After years in the service, his Christmas spirit had left, but slowly it's coming back. I don't have much to decorate the outside, but the inside is decorated to the nines.

Welcome, John!! Good to have you here! Make yourself at home! :welcome: :rudolph:

Hello

Hello and welcome to this forum my good christmas buddy.

:welcome:

thanks for the warm welcomes!

Merry Greetings, John! I found my first Christmas forum by accident, but I always thought I was the Misfit of the family (although they all love Christmas) I continued going on and on about it all the time. Glad it was Christmas cards falling on your head and not ornaments.

Somewhere there's a song in there "Christmas cards keep falling on my head" . . .

Welcome, West Virginia!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes I hope to get to know everyone as we get closer to the holiday season

Welcome to our merry little family. I hope you like it here half as much as we do.

Welcome John. You'll fit right in here.
