How was your Thanksgiving?

Did everyone have a wonderful day of Thanksgiving?

We had sunshine (made me very happy) and a busy day filled with cooking, washing dishes, eating, more washing dishes and ended the day by watching some homemovies of my daughters summer vacations etc.

My tree was only bother for a short time when my 4 year old grandson decided it needed some of his little Toy Story figures added to it. "sigh" But other than that he has left the tree alone.

My husband said grace and added a very nice touch telling our daughters and their families how much we appreciated them being here with us.

I like the "and so it continues part". We went to two Thanksgiving dinners this year.

Both were great with delicious food! I'd like to add another to make it three next year!

My Thanksgiving dinner went off without a hitch but, the clean up was a nightmare! That's the worst part of it all.

it always is.....when Kandice was babtized on the 26th of December two years ago....We had no dish washer , nothing....I hated it....it seemed like no end to the dishes...but then...it doens´t really bother me as long as I can listen to some nice music

I don't have a dish washer either. That's what makes it a nightmare. My kitchen is really only made for 1 person to be in and there were 3-4 people in there the whole time trying to help clean up. It was nice for them to help but, it was really crowded and made it harder to get cleaned up because everyone was in the way. I can't function like that. I need room!!!!!! It's not enough to make me not do it again next year though! I love having Thanksgiving at my house.

Well, it sounds like everybody had a pretty good Thanksgiving. Well, let me tell you that that is not the case with everybody. My husband just called me and told me a story about a friend of ours and it is not a nice Thanksgiving story. This kid took his off/on girlfriend to his mom and step-dad's house for Thanksgiving. He has a 2 year old daughter with her and supposedly another one on the way. That's another story in itself! Anyway, they are sitting down to dinner and I don't know what triggered this but, our friend's "girlfriend" attacked his mom! She started punching her and they threw her out of the house. Then she broke the door down and came after her again. They threw her out again and she finally left and went home. I don't know if his mom called the cops or not. So, our friend told her that he's done with her and that he's filing for full custody of their daughter. Well, he lives at our firestation most of the time, the rest of the time he lives with his dad, and he was sitting at the fire station after thanksgiving dinner at his mom's house listening to the scanner there. He heard a call come in about him! She called the township police and told them that he was on his way over to her house to kidnap their baby! He was sitting at the fire station listening to the call. Nothing ever came of it as it was apparent that he had no intention of doing that and after the story was told about what she did to his mom they didn't take him into custody. That's all I know at this time but, you all should be glad that this guys "girlfriend" isn't a part of your families!!! Ahhh, family!
