Finally an up to date active forum and a great one at that, with some good ol’ holiday spirit for a holiday lovin’ guy like me!
I’m so anxious for the holidays already and each year the excitement, it seems to just keep on building haha. Which I'm sure, being that we're on here to begin with, we can all share the same sentiments on that. It seems around mid august the excitement starts to build just a little bit. I love Xmas time and can’t wait to get out the decorations and start planning away shortly after Halloween. I start that early, not just because it takes time for what I do, but because I wanna enjoy it as long as I can and by early November, or even before Halloween with the stores, the holiday’s are already close to being in full swing. I love turning the whole place, mostly the inside, into a winter wonderland. We even do some Hannukkah stuff too! Its so exciting, that feeling you just cant fully explain. And I like to be done by our Santa Claus Parade, which I believe is the biggest in the world shown all over, that’s on November 19th. The same day a couple radio stations switch to all holiday music all season long and the big department store downtown turns the 5th floor into Christmas Street!
I’m not a religious person, but that’s what’s so great about the Holiday Season is that it means and represents a lot of different things to many different people. With so much going on in the world today and things changing, it’s the time of year that doesn’t seem to change and even gets better. People are a little bit nicer, a little more caring and overall the atmosphere everywhere has that little something extra. The time of year to ring in the holiday magic, winter and new year and be with all the people closest to you and even bringing that holiday cheer to those new. It really is the most wonderful time of the year. While not quite to the same extreme, I love Halloween too. Getting ready to put stuff together for that. It's really is the nightmare before xmas!!!
So, while there maybe still be 110 days left (sounds like a lot lol), there really is just half that until the season is in full swing. I’m already all hyped and excited about the upcoming Scrooged and Home Alone Special Edition DVD’s that are finally coming that I've been waiting for. Can’t wait
