I thought maybe we should have a little spot where we can post info on the mods
Anything anyone would like to know about us?

How many of you are there and how long have you been Christmas Nuts?

I count five moderators and two administrators (ElfWorks and Jeff, the site proprietor), though both of them have been really busy since before Christmas and can sometimes be sparse.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I've always loved Christmas. My mom always went the full nine yards to make sure we all (my sisters and I) had the best Christmas, birthdays, or whatever possible. Even when we weren't as appreciative as we should have been (read: spoiled brats).

Ive alway loved christmas, though over the years its gotten steadily worse. I have just about every christmas dvd a person could want

Excellent! May I ask one more question; what was the inspiration for the Board to be created and how long has it been running?

thats gonna be a Jeff question, i really cant speak for him. Several years running I imagine

I've always loved Christmas, and like my signature, do my best to keep the spirit of Christmas alive all year long!

As for me, I stumbled across this site a few months back and was visiting and posting almost daily. Then, before I knew it Jeff waved his magic Candy Cane
and made me a moderator.

:-) I'm pretty sure this website was among the first venture in establishing the Merry Network, in 1982 (? date). Jeff is a true master of Christmas genuis stature and a good writer. He spends as much time embracing his family as he does Christmas which only adds to the admiration I have for him. The entire why & how, I'll leave for Jeff to answer, but he brings a touch of Christmas cheer to so many, he's very much like Uncle Santa to me.

:elf: Elfworks is a wonderful Christmas wacko, her posts make you laugh.

:D Last summer there was a huge continuous run of laughter and with a handful of members keeping things fun and Christmassy at the same time. It isn't easy to maintain a forum that's attached to such a popular website during the "off-season", that's why the team that emerged last year impressed me. It made me miss it when I didn't have time to visit.

8-) And then came SC - a Santa that keeps me believing!

:hi: I love you guys!

And now for some info on 2 other moderators:
"Ladies & Gentleman, your world tag teams.....mrshfromjersey &......me!
As far as i know the only married moderating couple, at least on this site :D .

Married in oct 2002. We post from dueling computers.

My husband is searching for folks who have sympathy for all he has to put up with from me about Christmas and then I start drumming a Christmas tune at the dinning room table or hum or sing out loud.

8-) I told him, where I travel, there's nobody to sympathize with him.

:D Sometimes he surprises me and starts a conversation up about Christmas or he'll remark "are you behind on the shopping this year?" - never thought I'd hear that one.

 All the hard working moderators should get on Santa's Nice List.
