I visit Christmas sites regularly but I have a horrible habit of lurking instead of joining.. I am a member of a couple of them now but due to hard times I have not posted lately.. Christmas has come and gone and now I am feeling a little down.. The holidays always make look a little better and when there gone it leaves a feeling of emptyness in it's aftermath.. anyway, I hope to find myself here often, reading antiemistletoedears post always cheer me a bit.. I promise to come back when my mood is better and spread a little Christmas Cheer.. Greetings to all :)

:-) I am pleased that you decided to c'mon in and join the Merry group.

I understand the down times and when friends at work are feeling a little down or over-loaded, I jump in with the following little "pick me up", it works like a charm every time. I hope it gets a smile from you.

"When the world gets twisted,
A little patience will help to work things out.
Magic and fun makes life seem simple.
Sometimes we don’t need accessories.
Being unique is more popular than you think -
Stop following trends and fads."

Here is my catchy jingle . . . I sing it and it gets stuck in the person's head like a bad flu - but one that you are happy to have caught.

“It’s Slinky . . .
Everyone one knows it’s slinky!
What walks down stairs alone or in pairs
And makes a slinky sound?
A spring, a spring, a marvelous thing,
Everyone knows it’s slinky.
It’s slinky, it’s slinky, it’s a wonderful toy.
It’s slinky, it’s slinky, it’s fun for a girl or a boy.”

 Sometimes if we don't have time to chat, I'll just ask the question? "What comes down stairs alone or in pairs And makes a slinky sound?" And the person smiles widely at our private joke and coasts through the rest of the day with ease.

8) For me, joining forums that celebrate my favourite time of the year and forming friendships with regular "posters" is a present I give myself.
I'm glad you decided to give yourself a gift by joining in the fun. I look forward to continuing getting to know you.

Believe it or not, I just read your post today, 3 1/2 months later! I hope things have gotten better to the point that you can join in on the fun. The last year has been exceptionally difficult for my family as well, but family unity, a higher purpose, and even this web site have eased the pain. I'm looking forward to hearing from you as often as you can join in. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I'm glad you joined us here. It's been a month or two since I've been on here, but I'm glad to see new people have joined. I hope you enjoy MMC as much as I do.
