It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I've always been Christmas-crazy, but it never occurred to me to search for a Christmas forum before. This is great!

I live in southeast GA, near Savannah, with my wife, DS11 and DD8.

Looking forward to reading and sharing on this great forum! cheesy

:welcome: I live just outside Orlando, Florida. This is the best group of people you'll ever meet!!! Enjoy!

Welcome!! =)

Welcome!! :welcome: Make yourself at home here!

Hello and Welcome

Hey Bradmac! Welcome! You live near Savannah? That is one of the most beautiful, fascinating American cities. I love it! It is my understanding that - while General Sherman burned and destroyed most of the South -- he did not destroy Savannah. He left it intact as a "gift" to someone?

And then, Savannah was too poor to tear everything down and "redevelop it during the last century". So that incredible small city is left in its historic beauty - for the world to enjoy. Please correct the things I have wrong about Savannah. I love it so much and I would not want to be wrong about it. By the way - when you first visit - take one of the "historic tours" of Savannah. They enhance your enjoyment so much!

Welcome Mac Daddy... :)

Wow, thanks for the great welcome, all! This seems like such a fun place to be, far way from political forums!

SparkleNana, I'm ashamed to say I haven't followed up on Savannah history. You are correct in that Sherman decided to spare Savannah, but I thought it was because he thought it was so beautiful. I'm probably wrong about that. You piqued my curiosity now, I'll have to read up on it.

Thanks again for the friendly welcomes! I plan to be here a long time!

Brad :tree:
