I just purchased a domain name for my new blog and wanted to make sure I could share. Also, I would love to provide a link back to My Merry Christmas from my blog. Is that permissible?

Absolutely. What most folks do is put their links in their signature. Once you have 25 posts on the forums, you'll be able to have a signature. Also, you'll have your own blog space here at MMC, too.

So I am guessing "someone" keeps track and will let me know when I can put the URL to my new blog under my name when I sign my emails?

After 25 posts it automatically opens you up to a whole new world. Just keep an eye on your post count in the upper right hand corner and on your User Control Panel.

Okay, here goes. I have spent almost all day studying HTML codes and just updated my blog! I am so proud of myself. When I typed the codes for the websites, I got them all right the first time except for Live 365. I just had to make a minor adjustment and then the deed was done!! Hooray!
