Hi all!

This is my first post here and I just want to say hi! Christmastime is my favorite time of year...even though I'm not a fan of cold weather, there is nothing like the feel in the air that time of year! Decorating the tree and collecting penguin ornaments are my favorite things to do at Christmastime. (My goal is to get enough penguin ornaments to have a strictly penguin Christmas tree in the future, as well as the usual Christmas tree my family and I put up.)

A little about me...my name is Debbie, I'm 29 and I'm currently living with my parents until I get back on my feet (lost my job due to the economy a few months back and it's been slim pickens on job opportunities since then). I have a lovely kitty named Sangria who I try to (unsuccessfully) put a Santa hat on every year. I looooove Christmas, but as a warm weather fan, my favorite overall season is summer. I lived in Georgia for a time and it was awesome being in shorts and a tank top on Christmas day!

So...hi to everyone and I look forward to being active here on the board!

Only 85 days to go (I think)!!

Hooray, someone else who is a fan of summer. It's my favorite season too. I really dislike cold and winter weather.

Welcome to the forums, nice to have you with us.

Welcome to the MMC family forums, Debbie! cheesy

I live in GA, and I gotta say, I like to go to the mountains around Christmastime to get some cold weather!

Bradmac, I went to school in Valdosta so it was very hot!! Most of the time I came home for Christmas and yes, the cold weather was a nice change. But the few times I stayed down there, it was just unreal to be in summer clothes on Christmas Day! :) Now that I've been back up here in PA for over a year now, I really miss the hot weather. I just can't ever seem to get warm when it's cold out. :(

Welcome!cheesy

welcome! I'm a newbie myself! I moved from NY to Texas and while I'm not a huge fan of cold weather it's bben awfully hot here in Texas. There's just something magical about snow for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Due to the economy we';re moving back to NY to live with family also (but I'm a single mom with three kids).

Anyway, glad to have you here in the boards!!
