New From Virginia

Hi there. My name is Lorelei. I live in Virginia, (USA). I have loved everything about the spirit of Christmas since I was a child and I raised my three girls with lots of traditional Christmas acitvities. They cherish our Christmas traditions as some of the best memories of their childhoods and they carry them on to this day. This year, my 15 month-old grandson will be with us from Thanksgiving until New Years and I am so excited to pass on our rich traditions to the next generation in our family.
So...am I crazy or are there any more of you out there who start wishing for Christmas in the summer? By July, I'm on websites, going through my considerable collection of Holiday magazines from years past, watching Christmas movies on DVD, and making lists and plans.
How about it? Any kindred spirits out there?

I'm about 25 miles south of Richmond so DC is not too far away. I am *very* excited about having my grandson for Christmas, and my daughter too! My son-in-law is in the Army and will be deploying to Afghanistan in September so we are hoping that being home for the Holidays will make it easier on our daughter.
