BERLIN is definitely worth a visit as 90% has been rebuilt after unification. BERLIN is not an expensive city like London and some others. Prices afe no different from anywhere else in Germany.

I adore WORMS - wonderful churches! And I love SPEYER which is not far from you either, just south of MANNHEIM.

Our Area is big and also smal. Speyer is just 6miles away. And Mannheim 12 miles from Hockenheim and I think about 20 miles to Worms.
Have you ever been here in Mannheim?

Berlin is great. But it is about 30 years ago since I have been there.

I was in Manheim many years ago and visted the castle. Wonderful. The river Rhine etc just north of you is also absolutely wonderful.

I was in Worms about 15 years ago.

(for non German speakers - this is a Germany city and not an animal/insect-that creepy thing!!)

I was impressed by the cathedral built some 1,000 years ago. What I also remember is the Jewish cemetary which I think is one of oldest in entire Europe.
