Event Operation Christmas Cheer is Now Active

Another of our cherished traditions each year is Operation Christmas Cheer. It's an effort to send cards to folks who are ill, shut in or otherwise unable to get out to experience some Christmas cheer. We take it to them.

I signed up to send and also submitted two names.

During my brother's last year of life, his VA nursing home room was flooded with beautiful cards from members here and in by my Facebook friends. It was nice for his wife to come in each day and help him open the new cards. Nurses and staff wandered by each afternoon to see how many cards he had. I brought in lots of goodies so every visitor could have a taste of Christmas.

Friends, this really made a difference. Let's cheer up people again this year.

I just submitted the carehome my mother lives since 1,5 yr. We think this will be thelast year she will know what is going on for the dementia is taking over her fast. I wish all the recidence in the carehome to just enjoy the Christmas cheer.
Have been sending to the list every year since i joined the card exchange, love this operation!
