Every since I remember, I was overjoyed when I first say the first lights of the Holiday season go up, way back in October. I enjoy everything about the Christmas and Holiday Season, from the movies, music, food, festivities, and just general aura.

Then, equally saddened when people are tossing out their Christmas trees, taking down the lights, the music and movies have vanished, for another year.

Why spend so much time building up to Christmas if you only plan to take it all down the next day.

I was under the impression Christmas lasts until at least Jan 6th, if not later. With certain exceptions such as the Nativity scene being kept up until Feb 2nd.

Well, Christmas isn't just as season, a Holiday. It's a mindset. And I plan to keep Christmas in my heart all year round.

I look forward to getting to know you all, participating in the forums, reading the posts, the newsletters, and everything else this site has to offer.

Thank you all.

:)

Very nice!!
Hello & Welcome to MMC, Brooker!!
Merry Christmas!!
:tree:

excellent thread and just what i think ....in fact i think i get more pleasure on this site during the months that no one else is thinking of Christmas apart from us die hards on here ,,,,theres something that fills me with satisfaction and a warm feeling inside coming here and posting Christmas stuff eraly on a June weekend morning when sun is up and shining then going out for a potter in garden or wash the car with Christmas tunes playing through my ear phones

I'm the same way. So many things go into why Oct-Dec is my favorite time of year that it's sometimes hard to move past it when it's over. Taking down Christmas in early January, and once and for all leaving behind the whole festive period from October to December, used to be really depressing for me, especially since by then everyone else already seems to consider it a distant memory.

But then I decided to just completely embrace my love for the "Ber" months and keep that spirit in mind all year round. And this forum has certainly helped facilitate that. Any time of year I need that little bit of Christmas and Holiday joy in my life, I just come onto this forum and participate. I've also found that I am more active here when it's not Christmas time than when it is.

Anyways, I always like hearing others' thoughts on the Christmas blues. For me, learning about the 12 Days of Christmas and that Candlemass marks the official official end of the Christmas season were big helps with mine

Welcome! You'll fit right in.
